Many people come into our lives. Many people impact the ones they're surrounded by. This guy did that not only on an intimate personal level... but he did it for the whole Graffiti and Street Art community. Roy was our best friend, comrade, borther in arms... the whole fucking nine. If you had the chance to meet him on any level of importance... you graced a true human being. Real to the core and nothing ever got in the way of that. He was killed while defending a friend from a brutal robbery. They took his life... but they have no idea... they made him live forever. He's gone in the physical world but our memories and all those damn panels he painted... reminders. A…

i just found out about this, and while i'm not positive i've ever seen any of his work, i've always liked everything i've seen from the TKO camp. regardless of that, it always sucks when a human being is killed, not just from a graffiti writer viewpoint, but from that of another human being. rest in power.

http://www.12ozprophet.com/index.php/news/sure_rest_in_peace http://www.12ozprophet.com/index.php/martha_cooper/entry/r.i.p._sure/ The people who knew him well put it much better than I could... be sure to check the first link, for Faust's tribute from the main page. I had the honor of meeting Sure briefly just a couple of months ago, when he came out to see Twist painting the Bowery wall, and he mentioned that he was about to ship out for a tour in Afghanistan. I was surprised by how young he was; because he had been bombing New York so prolifically for so long, I assumed he must have been older. I've always admired his handstyle-- easily one of the best in …

Sad news. Today I read from a friend that the writer from Lüneburg Trica186 passed away last Saturday. I remember him as a pure b-boy very concerned by the hip-hop culture. I’m sure the writers from the north Germany will not forget his annual birthday jam that was one of the big awaited moment every year. My thoughts goes to his family friends. RIP Trica.

Anybody not from Philly probably has no fucking clue how legendary this guy was. I am far from alone in telling you people that I write graffiti because of RAZZ LAW1. My earliest memories of graffiti are riding the train with my grandmother when I was like 5 or 6 and her pointing out the window and saying "look at the pretty graffiti!". The only names that I was able to register around that time was RAZZ and Mr. Blint. From then on I saw RAZZ every fucking where. I saw a lot of other heads up too, but to me RAZZ was the most dominant. Probably half cause I couldn't read most of the other shit, and half cause he really was that fucking up. For decades. I…

It's been a little over a year since you've physically left us, yet your presence is still intact in our memories. Walking around town it seems as though you never actually left us, and you would be too proud to see how many people have been touched solely by your presence in their lives. Full of wisdom, love and wit, you could have went so much further in life. Even though you were much younger, I never felt an age gap mentally. I speak for all of us, mutual friends and acquaintances, when I say that you will never be forgotten. I am glad I never took you being there for granted. I am thankful my little homies introduced us, to to the point where we would call each other…

I'm not the one to start threads on here, but i had to start one for Rem 311. I found out the news early this morning that he passed. Rem was the true definition of a gentleman. He was definetally a one of a kind individual. His crew "Just Having Fun" was a reflection of the man himself. He just enjoyed painting for the love it. RIP. A great loss to the graffiti community.
