Guest imported_Tesseract
To tell you the truth, i couldnt wait for the pics to load....56k is a bitch. These are good, i hate perfomances usually but this one seems nice or amusing or whatever worthy to look at live. The second pic is very nice, it reminds of a Bill Viola video with water and fire only this pic is much better, have you seen it?

Guest imported_Tesseract
goodgoodgood Hhahahaha, 'temporary sculptures' huh? What do you know, no disrespect, its fresh as fuck but i always tend to be suspitious when it comes to 'performance' 'temporary sculpture' or things like that. Its bad when two things become one...anyway hard to explain my stand over this, To end it without being bitter i'll say that this 'temporary sculpture' is one of the best of this kind i've seen. You had seen Viola in the past, sure thing. You just dont know the name. Run a search, images will look familiar.

Guest imported_El Mamerro
Bill Viola's awesome. Spent a good part of a Saturday afternoon drinking OE and watching a couple of his videos. Had this one piece where a slug slowly crawled out of a teacup that left me in a trance. I really fuckin' love living on top of an artsy video store. Guest BROWNer
zevs should change his name pronto. i don't really dig that extroverted 'weirdo' for weirdo sake shit....some of it is alright, but it doesn't hold squat to my man signer's body of work. not even close. but thanks for posting. Guest INDEPENDENZA
hes a megalomaniac for sure but hes not a weirdo for weirdos sake, hes got a solid manifesto. He impersonates Zeus, the king of god and god of lightning in greek mythology, thats his basic concept. thats why he uses methâphors of lightning in this performance and in his streetwork... thats all i know. but thats true hes not really a performance artist, i think that this performance was a pretext for self promotion mainly
Guest BROWNer
i confess i didn't look at all his stuff. from some of the pictures i did see..i'm assuming that the leopard print stocking head shots are him..that seems to be the angle/image he's after.. impersonating zeus huh? ...i don't know man................................... whats the gist of his manifesto?
Guest INDEPENDENZA
when he wears that leopard mask, his name is zevs, he talks with a big voice in a solemn way, and hits things with the lighning metaphorically: for example, he flashes the shadows of the city with silver spray paint. All he does has a violent and brutal feeling to it, like lighning. in this performance he was screaming while receiving electric shocks... he also "hit the car with ligning"... he is the thunder and he "thunderizes" his urban environement. His manifesto has something to do with leaving traces of the night (he outlines the shadows he finds in the night), hitting things with lightning, and killing fashion icons (he paints blood holes on models) as a form of resistance, i think. english is not my first language so i might be difficult to understand. Guest BROWNer
no no man, your english is fine.. but yea.... huh... he 'thunderizes'.....haha.....wow... the outlining shadows idea is nice....there's someone else that does that....i can't remember who off hand.. and dissing corporate advertising and icons is sweet, depending on how its done. i don't man, visually a neon green lightning bolt just doesn't pop my zits. i'm sure tesseract would love this guys performance art(eh tesser? ;)).
