Who Knows How to Tie a Tie?

My last resort is to go to Angelo, my old neighbour. But he’s out on the balcony with his wife, and his wife hates me.

I’ve been to the websites, but those diagrams are impossible. I have an easier time fixing the suspension on a Honda.

Man, I know how to tie a tie but it's impossible to describe how to do it correctly. You say diagrams aren't a help but you want us knuckleheads to try and describe it?

Back in the day I just used to ask strangers to help me out.

Wedding. I’m already going to be showing up high as a kite; it would look stupid if I show up with bloodshot eyes and an undone tie.

I always end up getting someone to do it for me.....girlfriends, family members, random strangers.

Or, there's always those magical two words........CLIP ON!

i know. its easy once youve done it more than like twice. however, i cant even begin to fathom how to explain it via the interweb. my heads about to explode just thinking about it. ties=easy. bowties on the other hand are god damn impossible

    Okay buddy, I'll try.

You should put the tie around your neck so there are two sides, the fat side and the skinnny side. The fat side should be about twice as long as the skinny side. Now you wrap the fat side around the skinny side, cross over in front and go all the way around and wind up in the back. Now is the tricky part, still holding the fat part go up through the big hole where your neck is and then down through the small hole that you made by wrapping the fat side around. Tighten.

    Holler.

Yeah, Chupa, I tried that site, and I guess I have a learning disability, because I couldn’t figure it out.

Milton, nice try, man. For real, I tried following the directions, but it didn’t work. But at least I finally made a semblance of a proper knot. Thanks.

I think I’m going to ask people on the subway if my ride falls through.
