where can i get chloroform?

    there are a bunch of people id like to chloroform..does anybody know how i could obtain some and how much it would cost?

    $130 will get you about 125ml of chloroform-phenol mix

    i could get you some, but it'll cost you $$$hehehehe

    honestly, i'd have to think about it..
    we have some for DNA purification, so i actually use it ..

    plus i'd have to ship it, and its a hazmat..oh geez

    and of course what if you are stalking your ex. ...
    or maybe the newest date rape shit..ugh

    it would be way complicated cuz you'd have to pay me first

    Chloroform isn't like you see in the movies. It's toxic, and too big a dose can be fatal. Also, it's carcinogenic, so I wouldn't call it a fun-with-your-friends practical joke tool.
    Most chemical companies would have it. The one company name that stands out in my head, because it's kind of a sinister name, is Mallinckrodt out of Missouri somewhere. I don't know whether they'll ship to a random yahoo, you might need convincing info as to what sort of research facility you operate.

    You soak a rag with it and hold it over someone's face, and they will lose consciousness rather quickly. Most of the time it's not fatal, but again there's that cancer factor.

    Potential Health Effects
    Eye:
    Causes moderate eye irritation. Contact with liquid causes
    immediate burning pain, tearing, and reddening of the conjunctiva.
    Skin:
    Causes mild skin irritation.
    Ingestion:
    Causes gastrointestinal irritation with nausea, vomiting and
    diarrhea. May cause cardiac disturbances. May cause hallucinations
    and distorted perceptions.
    Inhalation:
    Inhalation of high concentrations may cause central nervous system
    effects characterized by nausea, headache, dizziness, unconsciousness
    and coma. May cause cardiac sensitization and possible failure.
    Inhalation of large amounts may cause respiratory stimulation,
    followed by respiratory depression, convulsions and possible death
    due to respiratory paralysis. May be absorbed through the lungs.
    Causes irritation of the mucous membrane and upper respiratory
    tract.
    Chronic:
    Possible cancer hazard based on tests with laboratory animals.
    Prolonged or repeated skin contact may cause dermatitis. May cause
    reproductive and fetal effects. Effects may be delayed. Laboratory
    experiments have resulted in mutagenic effects. Toxicity may be
    increased by exposure to alcohol, steroids, and ketones. Prolonged
    exposure may cause liver, kidney, and heart damage.
