Guest BROWNer
pretty neat. the stills don't do much for me, but the video samples are awesome.
KASTsystem
http://www.hiroyamagata.com/projects/scf/scf_7_lg.jpg'> This is a giant solar cube he had plans to install on this mountain/island. The sunlight is supposed to refract through the cube and cause the coral to grow in all of the colors of the rainbow. This is just a computer generated proposal for the idea. Guest BROWNer
hmm... some of those above images(*the ones at the top) remind me, minus the colors, of some of vieira da silva's paintings. i have to say the one thing i don't like about this stuff is the colors.... i think rainbow colored coral reefs would be cool for about a week, then it would just be tacky. Guest BROWNer
that cube on the mountain too.... thats just....i don't know...an infringement of ugliness on total beauty.

Guest fr8lover
in a way its unnatural to put that giant cube on the mountain, but in a way its completely natural that its using sunlight and the coral to create "natural art" i dig it. really really cool stuff. are there any books out about this guy? Guest imported_Tesseract
Although i'm known for breaking channels and destroying images in a similar way:D I'll agree with Brown on this one, the island project is poorly designed and i dont find it interesting as sculpture, land art whatever... He's definately cool, but way to psycedelic for my taste.

alkaline
If they could design and build a cube like that on top of a mountain, what's stopping them from using some kind of satellite refraction technology to accomplish the same thing without the nasty eye-sore? I'm just sayin'.
Guest BROWNer
or...instead of pouring money into a cube or satellite refracting technology, why not take the flick, put it in photoshop and fuck with your hues. rainbows are good as rainbows. copying rainbows sounds cool, but........
