What are your favorite places To Dine For?

Everyone likes to go out and eat nice food, at least everyone normal. So where are your favorite places to go to eat. What kinds of foods do the serve there that you like? This can kind of serve as a guide for people that are traveling and visiting different places. They can learn of the greasy spoon hole in the wall diners that tend to have unmatched quality in food service (sometimes). Anyhow, I'm interested to hear the kinds of things that you people eat when you have the money to blow.

well.. i have a few place that i like to dine AT, not for..

:P

the macaroni grill. - self explanatory (pastas, italian food)

the olive garden - as long as you find a nice one, and one that's not stuck in the ghetto somewhere. (italian)

medici - this place in my boyfriend's neighborhood. (some pastas, sandwhiches, all around good food)

naan n curry - hands down the most cheapest place for indian food. good mango lasse.

gaylords - ff we want to go for fancy indian...this is the place. the hottest chicken vindaloo that makes your back sweat.

koriya hot pot - hot pot place where there is a buffet of raw food that you cook at your own table. mmmmm fucking good.

::i forgot the name:: - cheapest place ever to get shimp dim sum, pork buns, and all the best chinese side dishes. cheap cheap cheap.

osha thai - good thai food. cheap. big portions. the only thing that i hate are the women waitress' and the loud friggin music

cheesecake factory - i know. expensive and cheezy (no pun intended). but they have HUGE portions that take me two days to finish and the cakes are pretty damn swell.

tommys joynt - seriously....if you like hearty meals that are under 7 bucks go here. a plate of bbq brisket (my fave), mashed potatoes, and a side salad or beans costs uner $6. and international beers like crazy. the best place to go before you head out for a mission.

::i forgot the name:: - awesome vietnamese food for cheap. best vietnamese bbq porkchops.

san raku - awesome sushi. not the cheapest but who's counting when you are eating SUSHI!!!

el castillito - the biggest and best god damn burritos that i've had in my entire life. fuck taqueria cancun, that place is junky.

house of prime rib - you've never had a great steak until you go here. awesome fucking martinis.

*Tecalitlan: fave Mexican spot since i was little. Food is cheap and delicious. I usually get the vegetarian tortas.

*Baci's Pizza: although the food isn't all that great, there's a middle aged italian guy that yells at everyone. more for entertainment.

*Evanston Thai place: I forget the name but they had the best thai EVER. I always get the Pad se yew with tofu. fried tofu appetizer

*Oberweis, Ghiradelli or Margie's for ice cream. All have delicious goods. *Margie's has a collection of creepy porcelein dolls that seem to stare at you, though, so i usually avoid that place.

*Garretts for popcorn. No where is better for cheese and caramel mixes.

*Milk and Honey: Yuppie ass spot, but they do have really, really good sandwiches.

Gaylord Restaruant: only been their once, but their Indian buffet was really good.

Hollywood Grill: I love their breakfast.

dlush, I've been secretly wanting to try gaylords, they have on here in the rio casino and it looks fancy/good, even though we always tease the name of it.

anyway, in Vegas i like:

Applebees: we go here alot... nice place to chill, go on a date, or bring the fam, or go with friends. their asian chicken salad is DELICIOUS, even though i hardly get salads for an entree'. but here i will!

CLAIM JUMPERS!: ive only been here once, but i love it. The food is delicious and the servings are gigantic. this is the first one in vegas (im pretty sure) and the wait is 2 hours long on the weekends. go figure

ESPN sports bar/restuarant: this is in the NYNY, ive been here twice in the past.... 3 months and i love it. great food, the atmosphere is this.. upscale sports bar with a game place directly above it which makes the wait fun (if there is one) the bathrooms have TVs in them (each stall) so does most of the tables where you dine on.

back on Maui:

KOHOS- the only one on the planet i think. yeah im pretty sure. they have the BEST fish i have ever had at any restuarant. my favorites are the fish of your choice (mahi mahi) with a guava sauce on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes, or the fish cooked in butter sauce wrapped in dried seaweed on, i think rice or mashed potatoes topped with some kinda sauce and fried won ton noodles. AND THEIR MACADAMIA BROWNIE ICE CREAM... the besttttttttttttttttt

KOBE's- like benihana, but more originally. japanese restuarant with a show right in front of you. YUM.

HARDROCK CAFE'- me and my bestfriend always roll here for xmas (of course both of our parents are working) so we spend it together for lunch. here we act like a lesbien couple and order tons of food and feed eachother desserts like its our honey moon. great.

hmm,

OH AND THE CHARTER HOUSE. be prepared to have some five star dining shit and to drop atleast a hunded here for you and your mate.

bling!

Joo Joo - Authentic Korean, the chef/owner is this older korean dude that barely speaks english, their food is priced fairly and fucking awesome. Very small restaurant, I think I'm the only american I've ever seen eat there. Don't know why.

King Buffet - Large chinese / american food buffet, all you can eat, including crab legs on Sundays. Buffet is about $5.00 weekdays, $7.00 weekends. Wonderful.

ginny's diner and pub - thursday night 60 cent beers and this place has teh BEST burgers. They have one called the sweet daddy that is 3 12 oz patty's with all the fixins. This burger is seriouslyabout 7-8 inches tall.

Ramsi's cafe - this is a really well rounded place. They specialize in world foods so their menu is is an eclectic mix of different cultures. Plus have they have mr crabs special served with "crabby patty's". In actuality it is rye crab cakes served over white rice with steamed vegetables, but still they are rockin out mr crab style.

The Twig and Leaf - another wonderful grease bucket diner. Its just your average burger joint other than teh fact that the servers are assholes, and thats part of the atmostphere. There the burger of choice would be the womb to the tomb. Its a burger served open face with bacon, fully dressed then covered in chilli. There is something magical about a burger you have to eat with a fork.

nowhere, food is best prepared to eat, not to order.

most ethnic venues are worth the trip though, if they have some roots (ethnically speaking). a few bbq joints are ok. and wings, got to have wings, wings and pizza, burgers, nachos. and the occasional hippie food like amy's place in buffalo. and i'm sure some of those really expensive places are very good but i don't care for food that looks too pretty to eat.
