DR+DELUSION Posted April 29, 2004 Share Posted April 29, 2004 and i'm in a nice mood. the things that make life worth living: - going days at a time with my cell phone off - VIrgin megastores - dozens of new white tees - the huge, glossy ad campaigns in "V" magazine - dress shirts with vertical stripes - being on a first name basis with gas station attendants - falling asleep in friends' cars on sunny afternoons while they drive - little kids' booksacks (you know, like plastic spongebob/bobthe builder ones you can find at target. those are fresh.) - clean laundry - edamame - walking up and down canal street, watching drug dealers sit on the hoods of their benzes while they blare bounce and shoot the shit with rasta street vendors - sisley zip-up hoodies - kitschy shot glass collections - washing cars - sorority t-shirts - listening to debussy while riding the st. charles ave. streetcar at night - talking to bums while waiting for the streetcar (this one bum tried to convince me that he was the spitting image of charles manson. he wasn't.) - grilled tuna - paris hilton on the simple life mmmm - chainsmoking and talking with cool professors - laughing at people on american idol - drawing robot ghosts in bathroom stalls - drinking tazo chai lattes at barnes & noble while drawing and looking at artsy girls - putting useless contact info in my palm pilot - strung out africans with names like "Obuaku" - the o'reilly factor - t-shirts from tsunami (a local sushi/sashimi spot) - kicking audacious pigeons (i hate pigeons:mad: ) - making friends with heroin dealers on valence street (i don't do heroin) - going to the gym at like 5 am - overturning port-o-potties - stealing rockstars from gas stations but buying cigarettes - constantly listening to electro even though it's "dead" - lucky bamboo - listening to opera while painting (not graffiti) - confusing people with my wardrobe (wearing a pink lacoste/white linen shorts/boat shoes one day, and tight tattered jeans/an 80s thrift store beer shirt/chucks the next) - hot colombian rich girls at loyola who wear high fashion getups to class every day - - talking to random prostitutes in the 3rd ward with names like "midnight." haha. she was gangster. (I really like this one) - chillin on the tracks late at night smoking cigarettes and seeing whose puttin in work nowadays on the passing trains. - girls in bright summer skimpy clothing, walking their cute little dogs around the neighborhood -pinery provincial park in ontario. - being dutch (if you aint dutch, you aint much) - six packs at the layup with a group of good friends. - black and white photos of the hookers in the neighborhood - receiving multiple check in a two day time frame.. Then actually finding someone else that feels the same way. (music, mostly visual arts though) -The smell of lemons -Crunk music and getting rowdy to it. -Witnessing a good weave snatching/Ghetto confrontation -Hearing good music for the first time.
