Fans of Fox's insanely popular cartoon "The Simpsons" can breath a sigh of relief today as a new 4-year deal has been made between the show's producers and the cast. Originally the cast had gone on strike because their previous contract had ended and they felt that they were worth more than the reported $125,000 per episode that they were making.

Actors Dan Castellaneta (Homer), Yeardley Smith (Lisa), Julie Kavner (Marge), Nancy Cartwright (Bart), Hank Azaria(both Moe and Apu), and Harry Shearer (both Mr. Burns and Ned Flanders) will now return to work next week to continue the process of voicing next fall's episodes, which had barely been started when the cast went on strike.

This multi-year deal does however mean one big thing - if the show continues on another 4 years that will put "The Simpsons" into its 19th season, a milestone for television and certainly great news for Fox since the show generates a huge wad of cash in international syndication and merchandising.

They only get $125,000 an episode?

That's fucking stupid considering what these guys make:

I'm not gonna get into the technicalities about my opinion on this one right now. But, just know that I've felt this way for a long time. I'm against watching tv in general.
