Lieberman Drops Out of Presidential Race

Lieberman Drops Out of Presidential Race

By LOLITA C. BALDOR, Associated Press Writer

ARLINGTON, Va. - Sen. Joe Lieberman (news - web sites), unable to inspire Democratic voters who embraced his 2000 vice presidential campaign, ended his presidential bid Tuesday night after a string of disappointing defeats. He said he believed his "mainstream voice" was the right message for his party, but acknowledged that voters disagreed

Lieberman is politically marginalized

He's trying to drag the Democrats out of the Socialist Swamp, but with no success. He's got the right idea, but he'll never pull it off--he spent the last umpteen years pissing off every gun owner in America. Then, as if a little light went on after twenty years of liberal blindfolds, he supports the war on terrorism (Jesus, who wouldn't? It's like which side are you on, Hitler, or Churchill? Oh, wait, Hitler didn't have any weapons of mass destruction. Unless you count Auschwitz and Treblinka, et al.)

Too little, too late, Mr. Lieberman. You are a liberal, Mommy-knows-best, do-gooder fascist who wants Americans to be completely defenseless in the face of liberal totalitarian do-gooderism. No way, buddy. It's a good thing for the Democratic Party that he's not their candidate, otherwise they would be buried in a landslide. Lieberman is the kind of guy whose Mom wouldn't let him go out for football when he was a kid because he was too delicate for contact sports. So now he's head of the Ban-Full-Contact-Football League, and wants high schools to get rid of football and institute No Winner/No Loser Soccer instead, "for the children."

Now, Kerry, he's a threat to the Republicans. The GOP better start working seriously.

Dean? After that nut-case demonstration on national TV, I'd be surprised if he could get elected to the Prom Committee. If he was the Democratic candidate, the Republicans would be dancing in the streets and drinking champagne out of high-heel shoes.

IMHO, it will probably be a close Bush-Kerry race. If Kerry publically announces that he supports the incontrovertible right of every American to keep and bear arms, the Republicans are in deep shit. Especially after the so-called "Patriot Act" got passed. Big Brother seems to be wearing an elephant suit these days. The Democrats need to dump that liberal, tree-hugger, anti-gun bullshit if they want to run for the money. But, if they're happy being "politically correct," but not leading the country, they they're on the right track. They might do a lot better with that crap if they dropped the pretense and just admitted that they are socialists and communists. At least then the facade would be down.

you sure are becoming a real dumb dickhead since you made crew tess.

Tease, stop talking shit when you don't know what you're talking about. It's well documented that Bush lost 1) the overall national vote, and 2) Florida's vote (the state that was make-or-break - remember that?), yet stole the election. Try reading up a little before you spout off at the mouth.

Read.

no! you gotta be kidding me..lieberman doesn't connect with voters?!?!?!

tease dude, you gotta vote. when people don't vote, and a general malaise

sets in across the country that your vote doesn't mean shit, then you get

people like bush coming through. and you'll get more of these scumbags

running the show for you and the future of your kids. scary, i know..but

take a time out and remember your rights.

it speaks volumes to me about the sense of the american public when we could have this type of president and be worried that he may be reelected..

i will vote

but if he wins, i don't know that i can stay in this country.

i've been enough places to know that my views and values don't align with popular american culture, and more and more, i feel alienated in my own home...

an imperialist america??

every empire has a golden age, and a fall.

i didnt vote for bush. i dont know how ill vote in this election,or if i even will.

i really dont give a fuck who is elected.

I've spotted you hooraying in Bush's favor many times. It makes me wonder when someone that doesnt care about pollitics at all, and doesnt know anything about it feels happy when a country he cant even point at the map gets invaded, you should really try and open your eyes, cause in this game ignorant people are the ones that bring up the wrong goverment.

As far as the crew thing, from the first day i got in i was expecting for a bitching comment of that kind, aparently you earn your rep everyday

Honouring the title of this thread and without the intention to clown you, playing devils advocate requires knowledge over what you're talking about. Its global common knowledge that Bush fucked up worst than anyone before him on multiple levels.

Starting on the paradox that a country whose president wasnt legally and democratically elected, is now exporting democracy makes the depth of hypocricy crystal clear.

You americans need to reinstate your so precious democracy before anything else.

In that sense, not voting pretty much takes you out of the ring. Even if all you have to state is your apathy(by throwing blank) your vote must be recorded. Democracy rule number two is that you dont expect shit from something you intetionally dont take part in.
