There are numerous molds of people in their final moments.

The mold of a dog is shown in the above photo. The poor animal was chained to a post and struggled for hours before finally succumbing to the ash.
[img]http://www.owlnet.rice.edu/~poutasse/vesuvius/man.jpg'> After the bodies turned to dust, molds around the boy were created from the mix of ash and rain.
A Pompeii resident, victim of a pyroclastic flow, probably at approximately 8:00 a.m. on the 25th of August in 79 A.D.

although touristy, pompeii was a really cool, almost eerie place to visit...it was one of the bigger tourist traps ive been to though...
  3. I know what you mean, everything in Italy works that way.In order to see Michealangelo's capella sixtina you have to suffer...
But fuck that.Focus on the "sculpture"
Therefore i chnage the threads name in order to make the subject more clear.

Pompeii actually has a good relationship to us as writers. There are a large number of wall works that were preserved for a long, long time.
And some of these paintings and pictures have helped historians put together theories and such as to who and what these folks were about.
I find it intresting that they were big on decorating their walls with art and sayings and such current to their times.Modern day graff is mereley an extension of the same traditions....
