The beer vending machine was my downfall in Amsterdam, as I awoke in a room full of empty beer cans. I think the Japanese porn vending machines are brilliant,as it saves the leaving the porn shop gauntlet. Anyway at the weekend I saw a toasted sandwich vending machine and being me I had to buy one (despite not even being hungry). !@#$% Posted October 4, 2004 Share Posted October 4, 2004 i was surprised to see cigarette veding machines on the street in europe. awhile ago, a new 'vending concept' was tried out near me at some amtrak stations. it was a great idea, basically quality prepared foods and convenience store items (including eggs, milk and bread) were dispensed. it didn't last. **the vending machine in the women's bathroom here at work dispenses tampons and condoms. Dick Quickwood Posted October 4, 2004 Share Posted October 4, 2004 hmm, the most x-treme ones i've ever seen are the kind that have buttitos, apples, cups of yogurt and shit, all the stuff is on a round thing and rotates when you press a button, so you can see it all. but, the only one i both knew and loved was the one in the medical complex building close to my house, it served 16 oz. cups of soda pop, the cup dropped down and the two parts of the soda would mix right there and flow into the cup. plus i think there was a button for ice. The most sophisticated one I have ever seen was when I worked at a prepress firm. They had this huge refrigerated vending machine that had everything from apples to milk to all kinds of yogurts and sandwhiches. The interior was on a big revolving cylinder. Guess the ticket ones at the stations count too, they are all hightech with touch screens and shit. The porn ones we have had for decades but there are many around any more, I remember bying dirty mags from them at a young age, ahahaha. Found this one with condoms and M&Ms in Dublin Airport.
