urban violence (its getting harder to take with a grain of salt)

Another inoccent urban bystander was just deleted from life

assumed she was a thug, when she was a mother, a wife

no justice is offered to sooth her family’s strife

with no mother or wife they’ll mourn the rest of their life

Shrugged off by police, hostility speaks their tone

the unjustice of the pig sends a chill through the bone

“can’t these cops see all this messed up our home”

left with all but this women indeed one of their own

In a rural suburb a bullet flys through the air

the ghettos see it on the news,but why should they care

“the same just happened to us, no exposure, is it fair”

“so many years its happened here, bout time it happened there”

Sheltered kids first reaction was shock, then fear

next comes disbelief but reality’s clear

then come the questions “how could it happen here”

open your eyes to the truth and watch the ghettos disappear.
