It was on the passionate eye tonite and was really intresting. It takes a look at the personal life of saddam, and he is one seriously fucked up guy. He's obsessive about personal hygene, married to his cousin, and one sadistic motherfucker. A big focus of the documentary was his desire to go down in history as a legend, inspiring him to build enough giant symbolic monuments to make the soviets look like amateurs. All the footage was shot by a french filmaker who was doing it under false pretenses (he had to make a run for it after awhile of filming cause the government finally figured out his real agenda), and its narrated by scott thompson (kids in the hall). It's gonna be the worlds largest and its just insane. He's actually banned all private construction in the country to free up materials for the project. Among the big features will be the 4 spires, each taller than the eiffel tower, and the giant lake surrounding the temple, which will feature and island thats an exact replica of his thumb with his signature on it (the interior will match the countours of his fingerprint). The way he rotates between palaces, and the 4 decoy security convoys that lead in different directions when he leaves to "confuse his enemies" is nuts.
