Guest imported_Tesseract
I disagree, the movie rocks...the only way to suck for someone is to wait for a standart ratatata war film and find out that the thin red line was way more philoshophical and way more dope in directional skills...a very pleasant surprise for me. Vanity
i liked it more than private ryan... but im not much of a war nerd (unless it's rambo type shit) but i hate cameos... i fid it annoying and distracting... but john cusack did a dope job... for once
SteveAustin
I wanted to see it when it was out in the theaters...but I never got around to it. I'll put it on the list...but there are quite a few in front of it.

Guest imported_Europe
One of the few war movies I havent seen, mainly due to my negative Penn-feelings. With these recommendations I will check it out.

CIPHER_one
great film. looks amazing. David Gordon Green, director of George Washington, said once that before every shoot he goes on he watches the Thin Red Line for inspiration. I don't blame him. bear
this movie's amazing. and there were so many cameos because terrence malick hadn't made a film since the early 80's or something. people were dying to be in it. malick's other stuff is pretty amazing, too. badlands, for example. effyoo
FYI an cameo is when an actor appears as himself or herself. but i hate cameos but i hear what you're saying, i find it annoying when they give the famous actor a close up as if to say 'look, Famous Actor is here!' , when all it says is that X number of close ups were written into their contract. Thin Red Line =

If you don't see movies because Sean Penn is in them, then you missed out on two great ones last year. 21 Grams and Mystic River were both great films, and Penn did an excellent job of acting in them.
