The worst thing I've EVER seen

My family owns a company, it's landscaping/landscape contracting, with this we often do things that all business do to make extra money here and there.We work for an organization the helps seniors with things like snow removale,maintence of there homes etc etc, it's for the most part easy money if were running low on work we'll move a dish washer or what ever.

We get a call from said place asking for HUGE FAVOR, I'm worried but I do as I'm asked and wait for this other person to call me.It's CHILD AND YOUTH PROTECTION AGENCY,I'm not happy with this,it could be bad.It's shitty but not weird. They ask of me to send some guys over to move some old fruniture from this persons yard.Seems cool,pops is like fuck it me and you will go so we don't spend money on wages,thats my dad a business thinker!

We show up to this public housing ghetto,I used to live on this block and it's not bad but POOR.This broads standing outside and asks our name....shes sort of slow and explains shes the person were their to see and that her case worker will be by in a few mintues.

We go into this building with this semi retarded chick as our guide,it's dirty I mean really dirty..........she opens her door and the worst smelling god aweful stink hits my nose.Her place was the nastiest,fucked up thing in the world.Her kids are 15 and 13 and they will be removed from her care if she doesn't clean up the mess.She had a week to do so,she hasn't DONE SHIT.......LETS TALK ABOUT THE MESS rotting food,garbage,paper,clothes,cat shit,grocery bags and every thing you can think of are covering the entire place.Holes have been kicked in all of the walls which have a thin lair of black mold slowly taking over the roof.Her eldest son has writen swear words and "saten rules" over everything.They don't have a place to cook because the mess as taken over ever available space.

The mother is a extremely large lady wearing a pink undershirt with pit stains a has a brown ring under each under arm.She is some what embarassed and trying to make small talk.I was so uncomfortable and sick I almost cried.She insulted my pops accent and went on to blame the mess on the previous tenates.This is when the Agent shows up to find that she hasn't even started a to try and clean up.Shes pissed and rips a strip off the lady, we stood around long enough to recover food from the food bank that had been sitting for so long the cans were bulgging and the fruit was mear dirt.

We carry out a chair and box when pops losses his cool and explains it's a waste of the governments money to pay us to stand around at the insane hourly rate he's now charging for the simple job turned into the worst thing he's ever seen in his life.

I'm gagging as I write this,I will never be able to remove those images from my mind,those kids have been raised amongst the worst filth I've ever experenced.I need to type this out just to work it out in my own mind.

On the drive back to our shop Pops explained that he normaly subs work like that out to people hurting for cash or mexicans, but this time he was bored and wanted to break the stalemate of winter......this is also not the worst he's seen but the worst he was going to do.

I know a dude whos crib is like that, hes a lazy fuck. I went over to play pool a few times and now I always have like chest pains and shit. I wonder if the mold spores pwned me?

my uncle used to clean up places for landlords after tenants move out of their places.

i was helping him one time and we had to clean up this flat that was similar to what you were dealing with. unbearable smell, dog and human shit everywhere, bloody syringes everywhere, rotting food, flea and cockroach infestation, gay porn all over the place. it was insanity.

apparently it was some chick who lived there with her baby and 2 dogs. the dogs completely fucked the place up. it had torn the fuck out of everything in the place, it was bananas. we had to literally wear full gas suits into the place because if we didn't we'd pass out from the smell and if skin was exposed we'd be eaten alive by fleas.

If youve never seen places like that, then im not surprised that you feel this way. People have to live this way, sometimes because they cant help other times its because they dont give a fuck. I used to be part of the former. Holes in my wall, rotting wood, fucking insects all over. I now live in a "normal" house, no bugs, perfect ass wood, hardwood floors with a finish i would eat pussy off of. I never forgot how it was to live in that kinda squalor so when i see people living like that i kinda sympathize with them.

i had a summer job like that. we'd go into people's houses that got evicted or left their house abondoned and ran without paying their bills.

it was the most god awful job and life experiences i ever encountered to. it was horrible.

people can be so disgustingly nasty sometimes its mind boggling.

on a lighter note. Just before this

winter the bailers came and evicted

my neighbor across the street.

He wasnt there much and i didnt

know him. I came to find out that

they had tossed the wrong house

This guys whole life was thrown into

the street and it was a mistake

The whole neighborhood converged on

his shit and had a field day. I was able

to rescue some photo albums for him

the whole spectacle was pretty revolting

i had a mind to tell everybody to leave

the shit alone but it was a mass exodus

as soon as the bailers left

my schitzophrenic buddy lived like that

the only room i could enter was his bedroom

His dog had an infection that was rotting

away his ear. It smelled so bad. It also used

the basement and lower level to shit

I'm from this block,my building was 3 over.My mom and dad were the supers there and I'd seen some shit before this but that was the worst shit ever. My mom still wants to buy a house in the area.I will never move to that area again....I drove through my suburb with pride tonight.

how do people live like that.. and with kids..

how is it that we still try to assist people like that who dont even show care and concern for themselves...

This isn't really shocking. You can see this every weeknight on COPS.

Also, thanks for making me feel better about my mess. Right now I have some balled up shirts on the living room table and a jacket on the couch. And this desk has scattered papers and checkbooks. And a bunch of stacked up DVD's that haven't been shelved away alphabetically on the bookcase. And I thought that was messy as hell.

Are signatures played out?

My room is almost as bad as that. I think there is something dead in there.

it''s one thing to have rotting wood and infestation, but there''s no excuse for having garbage and feces all over the place. that''s some that you can prevent.

Think about the stress those kids are living in right now.I went to school with kid that lived like that and he ended up killing someone with a crobar in the 8th grade.We went off to high school he went off to do a seven year bid.

The papers went on to talk about the house he was living in it, it was horrific,now I take that experince and put it to this one.Those kids must be fucked,they can't be doing well in school, they don't have a proper diet,a place to read or do home work thats going to aid the progress of their brains as young adults...it's fucked I wish I could remove this from my life right now.

A guy who lived right down the street from me lived like this. I couldn't believe that he'd have garbage from three months before al over the floor, piled up in the corners, taking up the counter, etc. He is the dirtiest mother fucker I'd ever known. Of course, he is a huge junky and is mentally handicapped. He actually revels in filth. I don't think he likes cleanliness at all. Anyway, he likes living the dirty junky lifestyle.

nothing but lazy ass people.. There are NO excuses that one could not clean or throw away garbage...

...and on the other hand a crazy guy that lives under a railway bridge near me lives in such a clean place he's got like a double bed with base, bizarre clean sheets and shit like that -bedisde table and ghetto blaster little cooker and all sorts of stuff! He lives under a railway bridge and sounds like less of a pig than these people!
