iloveboxcars
The day begins at 3am. Quite the ungodly hour. I drive out of my driveway.. because I am leaving. http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60868992.jpg'> I fill up my gas tank before hitting the road. While standing there I thought I should take a picture of the gas prices and the autorack in truck form. http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60868987.jpg'> As the sun rises. I'd say this was at about 5:30am. I remember someone saying that car mirrors take away from the picture, I think it added to this one. http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60868981.jpg'> I really like the way this looked. The next picture has a better angle but I wasn't able to crop it. http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60868977.jpg'> although I should have I did not stop, for I had a mission, and no photo op was going to stop me. http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60868976.jpg'> I thought that I would share with you my lovely passanger with whom I discussed many worldy topics on my 10 hour journey. I was actually taking a picture of the train. http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60868970.jpg'> Filling up on gas. I wanted to walk over to that building and dig around but I was still on a mission, and nothing except for lack of fuel would stop me. http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60868965.jpg'> My car isn't the only thing that needed refueling. http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60868962.jpg'> I found this sign hilarious. http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60868960.jpg'> 23 more miles. Oh god am I tired. This sign signified about 10 minutes of freeway driving left. And only a short period after until sleep. http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60868956.jpg'>
iloveboxcars
After 10 hours of driving I arrived on the street I live on. Homebase at last! Unfortunately a native Arizona lady wasn't going to let it be that easy. http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60868951.jpg'> She decided side swiping me was quite the idea apparently. http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60868946.jpg'> 1 more for good measure. http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60869243.jpg'> Her passenger started crying. This is the first accident I've been in in all my (4) years of driving. My door no longer closes all the way. http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60869236.jpg'> open in new window. apartment floor plan. After about an hour or so of signing papers and only thinking about sleep I get into the apartment. This is from the front door. http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60869232.jpg'> This is from the living room. That light fixture has something against 'me. It attacks me every time I enter the "kitchen." http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60869228.jpg'> The living room. http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60869226.jpg'> sink/dishwasher http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60869220.jpg'> stove/refrigerator http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60869216.jpg'> bathroom http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/1811984/3490835/60869211.jpg'> I ran out of batteries. Which is extremely unfortunate, the next couple hours were..interesting. I decided to watch a movie. The Movie was Hiest with Danny DeVito and Gene Hackman. After this less than decent movie I decided to have a cigarette I walk outside and all I see is dust. Everywhere. I can barely see across the street and I cannot breath. No cigarette for me. I run out to my car to grab something, i forget what, and on my way back a baby bird falls to the ground from its nest. It kicks it's right leg up a few times, squaks alittle and then lies motionless. This is some excelent symbolism right here. Baby leaves the nest and dies. Anyway, I go to the office because I got done making sure everything in the apartment was in working order and there is a man in there. I listen to his conversation while waiting. Apparently someone stole his car right here in the apartment complex. The lady he is talking to says that it happens a lot here. What the fuck? Whatever I think, and stop listening. The lady calles me in, I had her the paper and start leaving. She says wait I forgot to tell you something. Yeah? I ask. Try not to walk alone after dark, and if you do be careful. O-ho Kay! -I have found the area that I live isn't as bad as I initially thought. Sure the elementary school has barbed wire around it, but that doesn't really mean anything. I drove around phoenix and I think north Phoenix is a lot worse than where I live. ___ I do not know where they got their pictures for their website at, but it definately wasn't from this apartment complex. ___ I have visited the 3 lay-ups nearest to me. All three have nothing but hoppers. The only graffiti there was an esay, 2 crow's (both as ugly as usual), and a code. Fuck yes. If there aren't any decent lay-ups around here I'm just going to go ahead and start on a murderous rampage. -I went further out and found acouple of pretty nice yards. They are both in industry areas and surrounded by buildings. I'm a little sketchy on that, but I'll talk to clue and f4n70m to see what's up with security around here. Still mostly hoppers. No autoracks though, thank god. ___ The father of the girl that hit me called today and asked if I wanted to settle this without insurance. Fuck that. The officer tried to say it was my fault for trying to make a u-turn where it was perfectly legal to make a u-turn. It isn't my fault the girl *who was driving behind me* is a moron. Seriously, it isn't. So the father wanted me to pay them for the damage to thier car. Pfft, get yourself a lawyer bitch. She is also claiming that her arm is hurting due to the accident. Stabbing people should be legal. One thing that I'm not too fond of is the officer who took care of the situation gave them my address/telephone number etc. I have thier address and telephone number as well.. but I am not comfortable at all with them knowing where I live. I don't know these people. I don't know what they are going to do if I prove it's her fault. Eh, anyway, that is it for now. Today is Monday, I will have the internet on Thursday. Here's for a long week. ___ There is no smog on the horizon here. Sunsets are very beautiful. It is still too hot. I have sort of gotten used to the heat, but if i'm out in it for a long period of time (being ten or more minutes) it starts to get to me. My apartment is at a constant 71 degrees while i'm in it and 85 while i'm gone. I have yet to see the outside temperature go below 95 degrees. later today (around 9 or 10 pacific time) I'll be adding acouple pictures from around my area. iloveboxcars
arcel: I have been told that the "mystery dust" is because it's monsoon season. I moved from San Francisco. lens: I already had a house with friends.. I haven't lived with my parents for quite awhile now (the actual length of time escapes me).. but yeah, most of those apply anyway.. no matter if it's parents or room mates you need to watch what you do. coroner: i don't know where they are at. probably not playing golf though.
