Guest beardo
The artist Magrite called this painting the Treachery of Images. The inscription says, "This is not a pipe" and indeed it is not. In actuality it is an electronic copy of a scan of a printing taken from a photograph of a painting of what may or may not have been an actual pipe. In any case, it is not a pipe. Rather it is a sign, a symbol that signifies our experience and draws on what we know of a real pipe. http://www.psu.edu/dept/inart10_110/inart10/pipe%20thumb.GIF'>

seeking
grrrr.... those arent the rauschenbergs i was looking for. i saw some new stuff in a magazine last year, it was fucking incredible. odd shaped canvases (plus signs, L's etc) mostly blank, with alot of yellows and browns. really, really dope. very minimal. i dont like the stuff thats all lumped together... it looks too much like 'trash art' and im not feeling that shit. the stuff i want is gonna be 99 or newer i think. and part of a traveling show... heres some cookies for the effort though... http://www.keebler.com/newsroom/prods_promo/mini_cookies/packages5.gif'>
