I'm not what you might call an anime nerd. Infact I know nothing about it. But I do know what I like. And I liked Steam Boy. The animation was visually great with alot of attention to detail. The plot was also good, it was complicated and mixed with humour.

I got home and saw my neighbour. When I told him about the movie the obnoxious rag said "its not steam punk is it?" with a dirty look. I asked what steam punk is and he said "it's a whole bunch of tools running around fighting with giant machines and shit that run on steam and doing weird league of gentlemen stuff" <---- and that pretty much sums up Steam Boy. (But it was actually quite good and my neighbour just has issues with everything cos he's a scroin)

    Anyway discuss

the naked anime with women is called

    HENTAI

    lesbian anime is called yuri

    gay is called yaoi

steampunk....yea the term steam punk has been around for a goodwhile.. and not jus regarding anime..

i prefer the cyberpunk genre of anime more.... visually i'm not fond of steampunk cause of all the grey and brown hues they use..

    All about Project A-KO

    (the first movie that is)

The scene where A-Ko uses incoming missiles as stepping stones to get to the alien mother ship is one of the more bad ass scenes in the anime panthenon.

I saw it at a local independant cinema. In terms of anime this is apparently meant to be a pretty big thing. So it shouldn't be too hard to find.
