I heard too much of the Gilmour stuff growing up. I didn't even know about Syd Barrett till I was 18 or 19, but I wasn't ready...anyway, the bootleg was probably towards the end of the time when Syd Barrett was still in the band...it was really haunting and soulful, nothing like the albums I've heard. Makes for good background music too, but everyone has to shut the hell up when the vocals enter on Time because it's easily one of my favourite moments in music. -fuse.
