This shit happens way too much. It fuckin spoils good songs and I absolutely hate it. I might hear something that is not exactly revolutionary, but its nice.... next thing you know, Radio and TV wanna play it all the damn time and destroy any positivity the song might have carried. A personal example is In Da Club. Its not exactly a movement in hip hop but its a good song with a hot beat and catchy lyrics. I wouldnt have minded playing that from time to time just to get movin but now I cant stand to hear it. A reason why I feel mainstream might be hated so much is because we are constantly force-fed the same thing.

By overplaying these songs, it automatically turns the listening and enjoying process into a routine - predictable and dull. Even if the song is not that good, it might not have been an issue, but when its played over and over it automatically draws attention to its flaws. This is why I am very careful with the way I listen so I dont get bored and am still able to enjoy it. I won't play the same song 9 times in a row just because its good, I'll be sparing with it so every listen is an enjoyable experience.

Even worse is when they overplay a BAD song....

    *begging on knees*

and please no more lil jon. I really don't think I can handle it anymore. And I sincerely mean that from the bottom of my heart.

    please feel free to add

and that waterfalls song by ludacris. no joke i was listenin to the radio and i switch to FOUR different stations playing it at the same time. 1 remixed 3 originals. which brings me to another point. dont you hate when they overplay a song and then come out with remix(which usually has the same fucking beat with a guest rapper adding on maybe one verse). this gives them an excuse to overplay the song for 6 more months.

Ok so i didnt want to start a new thread about this because i understand the rules about 12 oz, but what the fuck is the deal with RJD2 giving up the rights to his song for a Saturn car commercial?

I mean its cool about the money and shit, but respect man... respect..
