23578
oh, my god. and it just keeps getting worse. he has some fast track trade policies that he wants to push through, and congress is about to give it to him. the result, americans without jobs. but he said he's gonna trade them a little money for some cut-rate health insurance in return. fucking bullshit right there. add to that the continued push for blowing the tops off mountains for coal mining in appalacia, he's crazy about this. they've been doing it for years, it kills off all the streams and wildlife which depend on 'em for years (for good?) in the whole watershed. Guest imported_El Mamerro
Keep in mind that the list focuses on negative things, and doesn't mention any positive things he might have done. Maybe there aren't any, I still think he's a moron, but don't read that list like it's the ONLY stuff he's done. It's a list purposedly made to influence your opinion of him. ana
I think the big deal with GMO's isn't the health effects, it's the effects on the environment and small farmers. Orgs just use the whole "if it has peanut genes in it, it might cause a reaction" argument because most people don't give a shit about the environment or farmers living far, far away, but they do care about their health. 23578
ok, ok, two days ago he DID just come out and say insurance should cover mental illness related shit like meds, hospital stays?, etc. that's nice, i have to say, but he stopped short of endorsing the wellstone/??? bill that does something about it. moral of the story good ol' georgie sometimes plays both sides of the fence.
