Rules: Each DJ will perform a 2 minute Elimination Round set. The top 7 DJs & the 2002 Defending Champion DJ Kico will battle head to head with 90 second sets in pairs until only one DJ remains. The winner will REPRESENT at the World Final in London, England at the Brixton Academy on Saturday September 13.

DJ Mana Breaks His Hand

 

DMC Canada was informed today that DJ Mana (Montreal heat) has broken his left hand in an unrelated incident. At this time he says he intends to compete at the Canadian Final. After witnessing a quick demonstration at Mana’s home studio Chris Kendall(DMC Canada) reports that Mana’s scratching is top-notch. Mana’s beat-juggling is a bit stiff (he doesn’t have his normal dexterity in wrist action) but with a bit of practice he should be able to overcome his injury and be a solid contender.

He is looking very good, Denmark has been in a slump for a few years, waiting for new DJ's to take over from the old legends. Last set I saw from Turkman was mindblowing...
