So I read this book about a year ago, and I just found out they're
releasing the movie early this month. It's an AWESOME read and I
suggest it to anyone and everyone. Also, the movie looks like it's gonna
be good as well. Anyone else read it?

****Don't continue if you didn't read the book or don't want to hear me bitch about movies.****

Ok. I saw the private screening today in Philly.

Ummm. I guess it's cool. Fucking Hollywood. Leave it to them to fuck over a good book.

The rendition of the aliens were fucking awesome. The movie seemed to go by too fast and they left out a lot of good parts that we in the book. For instance (if you read the book), the mostly cut out all of the driving parts as they progressed "south". Also, for those that read the book know how Kurtz persued Owen and Henry in a Hummer... didn't happen. In the movie he flies a helicopter. BORING.

Oh, and I won't give away the end, but it is NOTHING like the end of the novel. NOTHING! Eh....

At least it was free. :D
