ham is actually a very complicated product.. there are various degrees of ham.. ham.. ham with water added, ham in water, country ham, and a couple others.. they all reflect the amount of pure ham in it... country hams, you have to soak for 3 days before you can cook em.

I don't know about the kind your talking about (in a jar) but at the Polish Deli you can get it in slices and make sandwiches. Looks like cubes of meat in quivering geletin. :spent:
