CAPiTA
PMB reminded me to make a thread about this new device the govt. might start using. The Graffiti Early Warning System Taggertrap, a new alarm system by Traptec, is activated by the ultrasonic sound of a graffiti artist's spray can. When its wireless sensors pick up aerosol sibilance within 200 feet, Taggertrap calls the cops via cell phone and records the scofflaws with tiny DV cameras. "It's nearly impossible to catch criminals in the act," says Judy Ronnebeck, a police officer in Escondido, California. Taggertrap "helps us stay one step ahead." Authorities receive the DV footage immediately via email, so they have evidence of the crime before dispatching personnel. In an early test, six youths in San Diego County were caught red-handed. If this actually worked well, it would suck even more than the thing PMB posted about since instead of some "Robocop" telling you to stop vandalizing, the cops just show up and already have evidence. Shafted. http://www.layouth.com/images/tagger-dl.jpg'>
Æ°
If there's a business that's willing to do that, I'm willing to throw Molotov cocktails at that business. And it probably takes the cops a minute or two to get there.

serum
if i live within 200 ft of the device, what happens when i`m cleaning my oven? will my house be surrounded?
mr.yuck
So this device can not only hear you but also video you from up to 200 feet away? In all directions? And the police automatically can find you within a 200 ft. radius? That's a pretty good head start.
metallix
What if you just take a spray can, and spray it into the air. And what if this is air freshner you are spraying? What if everyone everyday decided to spray air freshner onto the wall? (so it simulates spraypaint.)

casekonly
i'd think you could mask the soundof a spray can by either altering the pressure (which most already do...i.e.: letting some out) or, by bringing along a walkman and bumping some other frequency...get brainwave generator to help you make some frequencies..it's a free program
