That solo artist looks a lil fishy though.

Maybe it was one of his off days.

Nope, that's what his sketch looked like around then...note the '91...most of the ones from that time frame look similar. The mountain scene was added later.

If people only knew the real story with BAG MAN they wouldnt be taking pictures of his kindergarden hand, especially anyone that claims to be a "graffiti writter".

nice post, nice replies... it's nice to see some people still have an open mind and can appreciate history and tradition. And to those angry posters who don't get it: why don't you go rock a freight, blaze some herb and keep it real yo. hip hop is all there is and all there ever was, right?

cracked you beat me to it. the frikking tsa is 10 years old, his moniker has come leaps and bounds. but that is still beautiful. frikkin charlie brown 79 owwwwwwwwwww.

good stuff.

i cant resist to tell the haters, that this is the real shit, everything that you can think of in graffiti has come from just regular joes writing on trains, walls anything they could say hi to their friends on. hobo streaks are not meant to be fame, like a piece usually is (note usually) they are meant for their friends to see where theyve been where they are going that they are still alive... fuck. i dunno theres alot i still learn about train culture but monikers have to be one of my favorite part. if you dont like it leave. this is your fucking heritage you bum.

Ok..i've try'd really hard to keep quiet while lookin thru these egotistical aussie writers posts, but i can't help it anymore. You have ruined what was once a decent board with your posts.Yeah your stuff's aight but u lose all respect from most with your stupid attitude.Newsflash:You are not the first person to write your name on stuff,so quit comin on here actin'like your gods gift to graff. Why don't u open your outback mind up a little, graff comes in many forms and the sooner u realize that the better off you'll be.If u can't except this then keep your narrow minded mouth shut.Could it be your jealous because u don't have a fr8 scene downunder? There have been cats doin streakers on fr8's since way before any other form of graff was around and it's just now begining to get acknowledged for that fact.It is a north american tradition and part of its history, so that should be respected.I know your laughing now 'cause your proud of pissin' everyone off, thats your goal and you've succeeded so congratulations. You are a digrace to your country and to people that have represented it with true style and grace like ATOME.I've never really been the patriotic type, but think about this if u can open your little mind for a minute mate;Would u be involved with this graffiti culture if it was'nt for america??Personally i don't think so.One of the biggest problems plagueing the graff scene today in my opinion is the monotany of style's and technics, so personally i love it when cat's do posts like these because its like a breath of fresh air.Big up t.t. boy and all the others that can grasp more then 1 or 2 aspects of the writing culture.

and to second that....

You Australian writers (at least the ones here posting dumb shit) should learn your fucking history of every element graff has...from nyc subways to these monikers that date back more than 10 years when you fuckers were still snot nose, back to BEFORE you even fucking even heard of graff...Open your fucking minds and realize that there is not ONE type of art out there...Graff letters are graff letters, monikers are monikers, and so on son....

Don't go and start talking shit thinking you're the shit when you know half of it in reality...don't smack us with your ignorance that hard...

GO BACK TO SCHOOL!!

Does anyone have any photos of D-KID? He was an early inspiration to me..

You know , it sucks that people don't know the history behind freight writing. There is a good book called The Road by Jack London..good luck finding it, but if you do it serves for hours of good reading.Back pre 1900 heads were hitting fr8's..Jack London was one of them.

A nice healthy post for a change...good to see..keep posting more.

retired hasbeen...a good train name.

Yes well all you graff history heads read this...

Arthur Stace live n direct sydney styles...

Arthur Stace was uneducated, an ex-petty criminal, ex-metho drinking, ex-gambling hobo who found Jesus as Saviour and friend in 1930. He regained his self-respect and found steady employment. Later, he heard the fire 'n' brimstone preacher, John Ridley, declare, 'I wish I could shout "Eternity" through all the streets of Sydney.' To Stace it was a powerful call from God.

Although he could hardly write his name, he immediately found he could write the word 'Eternity' in chalk on the pavement. From 5am to 10am every morning he would go wherever God led him and chalk Eternity on sidewalks every 100 metres in two feet wide copperplate.

For 37 years Sydneysiders were mystified and challenged regarding their life and future by the message left by the man his pastor dubbed 'Mr. Eternity.'

Arthur Stace died in '67 at age 83. His name has been mostly forgotten but heaven's annals record the lives influenced by this unassuming man. You too have an important role to play this century in affecting the world around you. It doesn't matter what it is or if people forget your name. Take God-given opportunities and leave your mark in life.
