so I think I'll be getting a laptop soon.
Then I can keep all my personal junk off the work computers.
And I'm trying to make a list of all the things I should have on it.

    so far... a partial list.
(keep in mind it's a laptop for personal use)

    Photoshop 6
    Winamp 2 + StreamRipper
    Trillian Pro
    Electrotank minigolf
    Rebirth
    Quicktime6 pro
    Cute FTP
some kind of wysiwyg html editor

anything else out there that you guys consider a necessity?

I like FileZilla better than cuteFTP. They also have FileZilla server, which is good if you wanna share files with someone.

    http://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla

If you have a gig or two worth of files to share you can use Direct Connect to get any full version anything that you could ever want (including anything). I suggest getting Norton Virus 2002 not 2003 first.

Netscape is based on the mozilla browser.... but Mozilla is cooler.
