Saddam's daughters find refuge in Jordan For the second time in eight years two daughters of ousted Iraqi president Saddam Hussein have fled to Jordan, winning protection from Amman with the agreement of Washington. "Raghad and Rana Saddam Hussein and their nine children arrived in Jordan on Thursday on board a Jordanian plane from Syria," a relative, who asked to remain anonymous, told AFP. "The two daughters of Saddam Hussein were in Syria where they had fled two weeks after the fall of Baghdad, or around the end of April." Saddam's daughters want bodies Saddam Hussein's two daughters will claim the bodies of their brothers Uday and Qusay in order to give them a decent Muslim burial, sources close to the women told AFP on Friday. "Raghad and Rana Saddam Hussein intend to claim the corpses of their brothers who they wish to bury according to Islamic tradition," the source said on condition of anonymity. The daughters of the ousted Iraqi president, who have been granted refuge in Jordan, are prepared to bury the hatchet posthumously and carry out the family duty by giving their brothers a proper funeral after their killing in a shoot-out in Mosul 10 days ago, "despite differences in the past between the two sisters and their brothers". They're dead and no threat to anyone now so why not give a proper burial? And as far as them being hot.... Do you think power crazy Saddam had ugly wives? He probably kept the most beautiful women in the country locked up in his harem and these daughters are probably very pretty, provided they have their mother's looks. I'm a firm believer that you can find beauty in all parts of the world. besides... so many arab women have to cover their faces that you really cant tell what they look like. Im not biggoted but I haven't found many women outside the white european/latino/asian variety to be attractive. I can honestly say that I find only one black woman attractive and shes light skinned. Jordanian Information Minister Nabil al-Sharif told The Associated Press that King Abdullah II offered them refuge because "they are Arab women who have run out of all options." The whereabouts of Saddam's wife, Sajida Khairallah Telfah, and his youngest daughter, Hala, were unknown. His sons Odai and Qusai were killed in a July 22 firefight with U.S. troops in a villa in Mosul in northern Iraq. ------------- yikes! why doesn't it suprise me that Saddam had even more people killed. He clearly treates women like property and because of that fact I dont think his daughters should be prosecuted (or killed) like his sons.
