Grandola Posted July 17, 2002 Share Posted July 17, 2002 well, connect to #rockmp3, #punkmp3, #truehiphop, or #mp3hq, on eFNET. in the channel, there are certain triggers, (ex. !mp3, !Nick, !HipHop,), you type these triggers in and a new window is opened. once in the new window, type in "DIR" and hit enter. you will see a list (longer or shorter, but we'll use this as an example) similar to this: Aerosmith - Big Ones Atmosphere - God Loves Ugly Juggknots - Clear Blue Skyes ZZTop - Album Name (they are usually always in alpabetical order) once you find the name of the album you want, you type in: cd aerosmith - big ones "CD" is a command that refers to a folder, in this case you want to go into the aerosmith folder, so you type in "cd aerosmith - big ones" say there is no songs in this folder you want, and you would like to go up in the directory, (to the previous foler with all the other sub folders) you would type in: cd.. now you could type in "DIR" to get the list of all the files/folders again. once you do find a mp3 you want, it should look like this: atmosphere-godlovesugly-_cms.mp3 6230152 what you do is highlight (anything highlited in irc is automatically copied) from the begining of the file name to the end of mp3 ex: atmosphere-godlovesugly-_cms.mp3 then type in "get" and paste the file name. should look like this: get atmosphere-godlovesugly-_cms.mp3 hit enter and the file is added to the queue... it might take a while if you are in a big channel, but most of the time it doesn't since 56k users aren't to frequent in these channels. to leave the window type in: quit and you will end up in the main channel again. to set up your options for recieving files go to: DCC>OPTIONS and configure everthing there... welp, thats it... piece -grand Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
