RumPuncher
this http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/canont90/t90manual/pics/t90.jpg'> for this http://www.imaging-resource.com/NPICS1/ELURA40MC_1_S.JPG'> (passport not included) yeah... I'm thinking I might trade in the old SLR for a new miniDV camera. It will take a little extra cash to get up to that level, but well worth it. AND I'll still have my other SLR plus a bunch of lenses and filters if I need to shoot. well?

RumPuncher
well it will still take a few hundred $$$ out of my pocket. and that's if I get what I think I can get for the camera. I've seen used ones for sale for $700-$800, plus I'd toss in the flash ($200) and maybe some lenses that I dont need.

Jackson
Dude. Wait a sec, how good is that dv? It might not be the best one man, if ya gunna pay dollar as well, it might be worth checking out better DV cams :o
RumPuncher
oh I've been checking specs. I dont need professional level CCDs. If I did I'd either borrow my buddy's XL1 or rent the JY-HD10U. (it's HD!) There's even a Sony that shoots 24 progressive frames, so that's an option to rent too! I'm just looking for something portable and solid. Canon has a super reputation for their video optics and I've used the Xl1, GL1, and the Optura. If cost wasnt an issue, I'd pic the Optura over the Eleura, but that's an extra grand. http://www.universalbrands.com/canon_optura100mc.n.jpg'>
MisPantalonesEstaEnfuega
I'll trade someone my Sony TRV-11 with wide angle lens and boom mic for a VX2000.
FLESHEATER
serious.. that dv doesn't seem like it matches up with the SLR... You can probably get a dv like that one second hand for $200 don't do it !

You can probably get a dv like that one second hand for $200 but here's the thing. I dont need 2 SLR cameras. The T90 is selling used for $800 (canadian). The T90's flash is selling for $300. The Eleura is $1300 new and the Optura is $2000. I bet I'd be happier with the Optura. It's a little more... but probably worth it. but at the moment... he SLR isn't really worth much to me becasue I've got another.
