Write-off ... Wreckage of a car in the Gosford acccident. The first accident happened about 8.45pm (AEDT) yesterday at Wyoming, near Gosford. Two men and a woman died when their car hit a power pole and split in two on Chamberlain Road. Police said the two men were thrown from the vehicle and killed. The female passenger was trapped in the wreckage but died at the scene. The second accident, at Coolac near Gundagai, claimed the life of a Victorian woman. She died when her car collided head-on with a truck on a single-lane stretch of the Hume Highway about 9.30pm. The truck driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Gundagai Hospital. Both lanes of the Hume Highway are blocked and diversions are were in place between Wagga Wagga and Coolac. Crash investigators are looking into the accidents.
