    retarded amtrak question?

Discussion started by cutlips - Nov 6, 2004

please forgive me for making this a thread, but im headed up north from florida and ive never been on a train before. ive done the bus trip across the country a few times and that was interesting but i would never do it again. just wondering if a 2and half day trip on a train is worth doing at least once i know i could fly and be at my destination in a few hours, i guess im just looking for someone to make up my mind...............i know its a gay question must be the boredom

^^ but if dude only has a week to do his trip, it might not be worth it.
from here to where you are, it costs more by train AND it takes approx 24 hrs vs. 1.5 by plane. that makes the choice easy. trust me, i've checked.

although, i'd do the train thing if it was me and my girl and we had the time to enjoy the ride. i'd make that romantic as fuck.

    biatches.

I would do the train thing if I had a ride along buddy. check some dope track sides, sketch a bit and just take a shitload of pictures from inside the train and kick it.

but thats a long ride to be by yourself...you might want to save it for another trip.

i did 2 days on amtrak and it was gay.. the train was delayed 9 hours, the food is over priced and you get stuck next to some idiot for the whole trip.

totally worth it... drop yer gear at yer seat and get yer ass to the observation car...
if you drink then bring beer... or booze...
even if you don;t it's still totally worth it...
my longest amtrack trip so far has been 3 days and that was tons of fun...

The train will be worth it. Find some cute girl to talk to and
work her for as long as you can... bring a good book to read,
lots of gum, a good camera and an interest to see a whole
lot of different places on your ride up.
