damn i wish i was around back then... to go to school each day an be met with new pieces on the train... fuck... it must have been the coolest thing in the world. as far as im concerned, drunk and tired, once the subways went down, graff wasnt really 'graff' anymore... it was such a subculture then... it was really them and their friends... all the writers were probably no more than two people away from one another... its still a 'community' today, but not nearly the same... i dont know if this makes any sense... just looking at those pics reminds me why i write... cause im trying to feel what those cats did back then... (whatever that is...)
fuck, i need sleep, not to get all nostalgic on the computer... nice post...

the way things are today, to look at those trains it just makes me wonder how they let it run then. i know its only because nothing they are so clean now. but does anyone else kinda get what i'm saying? how your mind is kinda trained to see a clean subway car?

This is intersting. Actually i dont know if anyone outside of NYC cares, but starting this Sunday, the B line will never again go to Coney Island; or anywhere else in Brooklyn for tha matter. That bums me out. The B line was my favorite train in B'klyn. Oh well, we'll have to see what this new W line brings our way...

Sucio...I believe the B and D lines will run to Bklyn again, they are being re-routed for about 5 years for manhattan bridge repairs.

wow...im just thinking of how cool it would to be around back then, no vandel squad(at least i dont think there was), no cameras watching, no high teck shit just you and your boys going down to the layups to pretty much invent a new artform...they had to come up wit all this , there wasn't anyone before them to show them how to do this it and that makes this old stuff even more amazing, but now http://www.12ozprophet.com/ubb//frown.gif'>

nice post...keep them old posts coming

nah the N, R and the W will still be on the ditch and as far as the B line rooftops; you will still see them from the W... its' just gonna suck cuz you cant access the 6th av line from the bridge til 2004. you can only access the Broadway line, so its good cuz you can make it from Atlantic Ave (my stop) to Canal st. in one stop! but it sux i cant get to W4th from my house with out transferring like 3 times! ARGH!
