Rate your ISP....

So I woke up a little while ago after a 2 hour nap, it's kinda late now... or late for me anyway (I started a new job and I have to wake up at the ass crack of dawn).... anyhow, that's not the point... my point is

You know why? Some of you may... it's because they're corporate :five-o: five oh's that love money and hate customer support. It took me 2 months to get a new cable modem, which works great... I'm glad they gave the piece of shit to me. The problem is, most of the time, at this time of the morning (looks at watch), my cable modem decides it's time for lunch... so the "ranging" lights just bling out like it's trying to establish a connection with the main office.... to no avail. Now that would be fine, if it was like, "oh wow, my cable modem service is off right now late at night, it's ok though because this never happens, they're probably doing work on it right now to improve the internet experience for paying custo's like me. I love my ISP..."

But now, it's more like, "MAN Eh WTF!!! J00 fux0rs are working (?) on the network every single night. COMCAST Is teh ultiMAte llamas and I am ultimate s00per awesomez." And I picture myself yelling this at my inanimate computer screen in all of my masculinity.... and it just doesn't make a good image. I mean I dunno what these fuckers are doing at night, maybe proping their feet up in the control station and nodding off a bit too much to where they slip and hit the "unlink DHABZ's cable modem" toggle. The moral/summary of this story is, comcast is great, but sometimes I like to use the internet at night time, and they just simply make this impossible sometimes (more often than not)... and I mean for hours this shit won't connect. I feel cheated. Any normal grown human would probably not notice that their service was interrupted being that they are probably in bed and it works in the morning time when they wake up. I'm liking the sound of one of those vDSL lines more an more these days, they're about the same speed as DOCSIS cable interfaces... that means bueno.

Anyhow, I'm gonna let you all run, I gotta get back to sleep, I just thought I'd share this with you all considering you may be shopping for an ISP. Don't get me wrong, comcast is great when it's on and working, but at 3AM it's rare that this is the case. So, post your rants and your raves, moments of glory and mishaps when dealing with your ISP. I expect to hear some stories of telephone tech support shittiness here, as I imagine that's where most customer relations fuckups lie. Alright goodnight fuckers.

Ive had comcast for 2 years and the only problem ive had with them was the first day the comcast guy came,he dirtied my carpet up with his disgusting ass boots.besides that, my shits lightning fast.

i use shaw in canada and it fuckin sucks.. like Dhabs my modem deciedes to just take a break. When i call them for help they tell me they are sending repair man out but he never shows up.

i use cox cable. service is terrible from the workers there. my shit has been at 12mbps for 2 fucking weeks now and i called them and they said in my contract connectivity is not always guaranteed.

WOW. you know how they get away with this shit? by saying "UP TO 5kajillion MB per second" and the only time that happens is when there's a cold day in hell.

i use bell south DSL and its not that bad. For DSL i have a a pretty good bandwidth, enough to keep me happy. Though about 6 months ago I tried to get my shit switched to another phone line adn the fuckrs couldn't get a damn thing right on that shit. The only problem I have had sionce they got it going was that I had a 48 hour outage due to somne cunstruction workers around here fucking something up and I had to sit and talk to some guy in india for 2 hours to explain to him that there was not a problem with my computer and we do not need to do a diagnostics check on it the modem is not getting signal. I finally ended up going off and screaming at him for five minutes. A repair man came today to check it out and explained to me what had happened and now shits all gravy. Downloading ghost int he shell one and two, got shit loads of porn and music, shits skr8.

I use Roadrunner (Time Warner).... the network hits blurbs once or twice a week where aim and soulseek will disconnect for 10 seconds but that's as shitty as it gets.

i've had comcast for almost 2 years, and the only problem i had was my modem screwed up the first week i got it. it turns out that that brand of modem was a piece of shit. maybe that's the problem you have

My only complaint about comcast is the customer service. I hate robots.

i've got comcast, but have the opposite issue. It doesnt seem to connect very welll in the late morning-mid afternoon. Otherwise it's pretty fast.

I GOT THE AOL FREE 45 DAYS TRIAL DISK. THEN I CALLED TO CANCEL AFTER 45 DAYS AND THEY TOLD ME I COULD HAVE 60 MORE FREE DAYS, THEN I CALLED AGAIN TO CANCEL AFTER 60 DAYS AND THEY SAID I COULD HAVE 60 MORE FREE DAYS.

ITS FREE BUT ITS NOT VERY GOOD. ITS ALWAYS DISCONNECTING.

i got road runner through time warner as well.

its real good.

it only fucks up once in a blue/purple/red/green moon. aka hardly ever at all.
