AREANKAY Posted September 1, 2002 Share Posted September 1, 2002 A friend was telling me about some show he saw on discovery channel that showed some device that was used to slit peoples wrists it was like 6 razor blades and you would set it and then release a trigger and the razor blades would go to town on the person making shure that it did them up good. The problem is they can remember what the show was called or what this thing was called, I’m wondering if anyone here has heard of these things if you know what there called, or where pictures of this thing are on the internet? The Mütter museam is an establishment in Germany where they keep alot of strange documents on medical mishaps and strange occourances. They even keep actual bodies, etc. The device you're talking about, if I remember correctly, was used to cure people's sicknesses. The blades weren't set to cut very deep, but did cause the user to bleed. I think they thought it would cause the person to bleed out infected blood or something. It was very sophomoric and was eventually done away with on the grounds that it did more damage than good. Despite it's use, they still called it some kind of tourniquet.
