Onslaught is a manifestation of Xavier gone insane. When Xavier wiped Magneto's mind on Asteroid M (after Magneto sucked the adamantium out of Wolverine), a piece of Magneto jumped into Xavier. It lay dormant for months, until the frustration of mutant hatred, Psylocke being gutted by Sabertooth, and the guilt over wiping Magneto's mind became too much for Xavier. He snapped, like any normal person would, but because of Magneto's influence the temporary outburst became something far far worse. Bearing psi-armor similar to magneto's armor, but far more large and menacing, Onslaught began conquering, using information from the Age of Apocalypse and absorbing psi-talents like Nate Grey and the young Richards. Ultimately, he separated himself from Xavier, and was beaten back by a savage hulk, who tore apart his psi-armor. With the armor gone, the only way to stop him was to throw non-mutants into the psychic being he had become. Earth's heroes volunteered, and the Avengers and the Fantastic Four died.

LONGSHOT

Real Name: Unrevealed

Occupation: Former slave and movie stuntman, now rebel leader

Identity: The general populace of Earth does not know that Longshot is an extra dimensional being.

Legal Status: None on Earth; renegade slave with a criminal record on his home world

Other Aliases: None known

Place of Creation: An unidentified world in another dimension

Marital Status: Single

Known Relatives: Inapplicable

Group Affiliation: Leader of the rebels on his home world

Bale of Operations: Mobile on his home world and on Earth

First Appearance: LONGSHOT #1

History: On a world in another dimension a race of sentient semi-humanoid beings lacking spines evolved. The race's inability to stand upright prevented their civilization from advancing beyond a relatively primitive level. Finally, the scientist Arize designed an artificial exoskeletal frame that would enable a member of his race to stand erect. Most of the race began using these exoskeletons, and under Arize's guidance, their civilization rapidly advanced.

However, some of Arize's race refused to use the exoskeletons, and for unknown reasons, these so-called Spineless Ones somehow became the race's rulers. The Spineless Ones demanded to have a race of slaves, which Arize created for them through genetic engineering. The Spineless Ones' mythic images of devils had humanoid form, and Arize, apparently with ironic intent, designed his genetic creations to resemble them. Moreover, Arize had no intention of allowing his sentient creations to be oppressed, and secretly designed their genetic codes so that, despite the Spineless Ones' wishes, the humanoids would be intelligent and have a strong sense of individual self. Hence, a rebellion of the slaves would be inevitable. Furthermore, Arize designed some of these slaves, including the one who would be known as Longshot and his ally Quark, to have special superhuman powers. Later, the Spineless Ones demanded that Arize create immensely powerful weaponry for them, and when he refused, they cast him out, and he began a life as a hermit.

Longshot first achieved consciousness as an adult, having been grown in machines to become a warrior slave for one of the Spineless Ones, Mojo. Longshot's first words were to tell Mojo, his owner, "No one owns me." Mojo put Longshot to work as a performer of dangerous stunts in the movies he produced. Eventually, Longshot sought out Arize, who told him his origin, explained to him that he was indeed a living being with a right to freedom, and urged him to help bring about a rebellion of the slaves against the Spineless Ones.

Longshot became a legendary heroic rebel leader on his home world, but was finally captured by the Spineless Ones who artificially induced amnesia in him so he would become a submissive slave. Instead, the amnesiac Longshot fled, with rebel hunters hot on his trail, he found an interdimensional portal and escaped through it, to Earth. There he was dubbed "Longshot" because he continually acted against heavy odds in his exploits. Longshot had many adventures on Earth, including battles against rebel hunters from his own world such as Spiral and Gog and Magog. He was befriended by the movie stuntwoman Richochet Rita.

Mojo ultimately came to Earth, determined to prevent Longshot from returning to their home world and telling the humanoid slaves how Earth was ruled by human beings like themselves; Mojo feared that this news would inspire further rebellions. Once coming to Earth, Mojo began planning to enslave its population. Meanwhile, Longshot began regaining his memories, enough to recall, his true origin. Aided by Ricochet Rita, Quark, and the sorcerer Doctor Strange, Longshot defeated Mojo, forcing him into an interdimensional portal. Spiral followed Mojo, and Longshot, Ricochet Rita, and Quark also entered the portal in order to follow Mojo back to his home world. Longshot intends to kill Mojo there and then to lead his thousands of fellow humanoids from his home world to Earth where they can be free. Whether Longshot will succeed in his quest remains to be seen.

Mojo, however had other plans, and teleported him to Earth, at a time before he recovered all of his memories.

The mutant heroes known as the X-Men found the amnesiac Longshot, and he participated with them in many adventures while trying regain all of his memories. During his time with the X-Men, Longshot met and developed a romantic relationship with fellow X-Man, Dazzler.

Eventually, however, he decided to leave Dazzler and the team in order to regain his lost memories.

After some time, Longshot, his memories recovered, gathered together Dazzler (who was no longer a member of the X-Men at the time) and other X-Men to return to the "Mojoverse" and overthrow Mojo once and for all. Ultimately successful, Longshot and Dazzler agreed to remain in the now-peaceful world.

Unfortunately, Mojo soon returned as ruler of the realm, and Longshot once again became a rebel leader, with Dazzler by his side. Dazzler needed to elicit the aid of the X-Men in freeing Longshot at one point, and the X-Man Phoenix (then, Jean Grey) sensed with her telepathic powers that Dazzler was pregnant with Longshot's child. (However, recent reports suggest that she is no longer pregnant, the fate of the child remaining unknown.) Longshot was freed and continues his leadership of the Mojoverse's rebel forces.

Recently, Dazzler returned from the Mojo universe, claiming that it was completely destroyed due to the actions of "X-Baby" versions of villains that were spawned from the so-called "Age of Apocalypse:" Apocalypse, Holocaust, Dark Beast, and the Sugar Man. Dazzler claimed that the these X-Babies killed the others of their kind and supposedly leveled the entire dimension of Mojo, including killing Longshot, although Dazzler could not wholly confirm his death.

Height: 6 ft. 2 in.

Weight: 80 lbs

Eyes: Blue

Hair: Blond

Unusual Physical Features: Longshot has only three fingers and a thumb on each hand.

Strength Level: Longshot appears to have the normal human strength of a man of his physical age, height, and build who engages in intensive, regular exercise.

Known Superhuman Powers: Longshot was genetically engineered to have certain superhuman abilities. One of these is his ability to affect probability fields through psionic means in order to give himself "good luck" in his activities. This power operates even when Longshot does not consciously will it to do so. However, by creating "good luck" for himself, Longshot creates an equal and opposite effect elsewhere, thus creating "bad luck." This "bad luck" could affect someone else, or could conceivably even affect Longshot himself at some point.

Longshot can telepathically "read" the recent memories of a person by making physical contact with him or her. Moreover, Longshot can read "psychic imprints" that people leave on objects that they have handled. The stronger the person's emotion while handling the object, the stronger the psychic imprint he or she leaves on it. In reading the psychic imprint on an object. Longshot can learn the thoughts that the person who previously handled the object had while handling it.

Strangely enough, if a person will handle the object in the future, Longshot can, in the present, read the thoughts that that person will have when handling it in that future time.

Longshot has hollow, bird-like bones, but musculature like an Earthman's. Hence, he is capable of superhuman agility.

Longshot's left eye glows with a bright light whenever he employs one of his superhuman powers.

Weapons: Longshot carries a number of cleaver-like blades, which he can hurl with great accuracy.

Real Name: Kevin Green

Age: 13

Residence: Canoga Park, California

School: JFK Jr. High School

Relatives: Martha Green (mother), Russell Green (father), Aunt Ruth

Friends and Allies: Kelly, Scott, Jim Powers, Strangers

Enemies: Coach Meyers, Doctor Gross, Duey, Organism 8, Prototype, Max-Man, Colonel Samuels, Primevil

Prime’s Body: Prime’s body is made up of a biological, green goop which extracts from Kevin Green’s chest. The goop then covers Kevin’s body and forms into the body of Prime. When Prime’s body receives too much damage or pressure, it loses its formation, leaving Kevin Green’s body covered with goop. The goop also destroys anything unnatural, destroying all of Kevin’s closed when Kevin transforms to or from Prime. Prime’s body can last to as long as 72 hours. But Kevin must replenish his energy during the time he is Kevin and thus cannot "prime" until 12-24 hours after his last "priming."

Prime’s Costume: The external part of Prime’s body is skin and in fact feels like, Prime. Prime’s costume is part of his body. It feels like flesh, just like the rest of Prime’s external body. The costume consists of a red "P" logo on his chest, with gold armor covering his upper body. It also consists of a red cape and red from the waist down, gold boots, and red and gold gloves.

Prime has not yet found his maximum level of strength or speed, but we know he can lift the size of an airplane and may be able to fly as fast as the speed of sound. His Prime-body absorbs bullets, making him invulnerable to them. He has also withstood a nuclear blast and a grenade, but Kevin has not yet, fully explored all of his vast powers and resources. He is, however, vulnerable, especially to electricity, as seen with his battle against Doctor Gross. This is probably because electricity can move through Prime’s body and in through Kevin’s, making him weaker. Prime also becomes weakened after being Prime for long periods of time, and needs to recharge his energy as Kevin.
