    Photothread: Grandma's Town, Saskatchewan

Discussion started by effyoo - Sep 7, 2004

This weekend i got the pleasure of going to a small town in Saskatchewan, Canada to visit my grandparents. I hadn't been there in over 10 years, but I found that nothing has changed in that time except the size of the trees.

    just so you know:

Nice pics! That church is beautiful, but doesn't really look that old. Nice, nice. I wish I knew the name of this town. It isn't really Buttfuck, is it?

oh yeah, what kind of church is that? judging by the tops, it's, like, Russian or something. Is there Russians in this town?

the writing on the tombstone and in that Jesus picture is Ukrainian. Alot of Ukrainian setttlers came there in the early 1900s. All the old people there can speak it. Even my grandparents speak with an accent because they grew up around so many Ukrainian speaking people.
