whew

im back

that was fun

thanks YEM for the hospitality, and the crew for supplying sustained mayhem

no one even knows what any of this means, but mental requested a list and a break down, so here goes..

Setlist 8/10/04

Tweeter Center, Mansfield, MA (a.k.a. Great Woods), 7:49 PM

Set 1

AC/DC Bag

Heavy Things

Punch You in the Eye

Wolfman's Brother

Theme From the Bottom

Birds of a Feather

hot as fuck. jammed out ac/dc opener was a treat, but the wolfmans was my highlight, dispite a 20+ min birds to close

Set 2

Mike's Song ->

I am Hydrogen ->

Weekapaug Groove*

A Song I Heard the Ocean Sing ->

Piper ->

Makisupa Policeman

Dog Faced Boy

Friday

Harry Hood

all the way through, amazing. ranks with one of the best sets ive seen. weekapaug is probably the highlight, but the transitions between song i heard>piper>makisupa were mind melting. dog faced boy was especially cool, given some 'farewell-esque' lyrics

Encore

Possum

Notes

*Trey tells story about the origin of "Weekapaug Groove" and "A Song I heard the Ocean Sing".

*******************

Setlist 8/11/04

Tweeter Center, Mansfield, MA (a.k.a. Great Woods), 7:55 PM

Set 1

The Divided Sky

Suzy Greenberg ->

Down With Disease ->

Prince Caspian ->

Scent of a Mule ->

Tears of a Clown* ->

Scentof a Mule

Mexican Cousin

holy fuck. everything up till they pulled that crazy bitch on stage to sing, this was an all out party. suzy>DWD is my highlight.

Set 2

Run Like an Antelope ->

2001 ->

Golgi Apparatus

Waves ->

Tweezer ->

Hold Yourself High ->

Terrapin**

Hold Yourself High*** ->

Timber Ho! ->

Sample In a Jar

poised to be another epic set, but my personal distaste for most of the show after tweezer holds it back for me. that section of the show just brought everything to a head. timber was a nice rarity though, got me back into it. antelope>2001 opener.. get out. hot as hell.

Encore

Bouncing Around the Room

Tweezer Reprise

Notes

*With special guest picked from the audience on vocals.

**Fishman on vocals and vacuum.

***Trey and Fishman drumming

all in all, totally pleased with my last time seeing these guys. actually caught a large chunk of songs i was hoping to hear.

and of course i already DL'd the first night. just fired up the 2nd set :)

beardo/arent you glad you wont have to see these threads anymore?
