I don't know if they can do specific parts of it or if it has to be the whole thing, but from what I can remember, it seemed reasonably priced. Rashomonster Posted August 8, 2003 Share Posted August 8, 2003 lowdown... the shoes they can dye are made of satin and are for women (as far as i know, don't know how many of you guys rock the pumps....or satin shoes for that matter...). anyway, it's a service usually taken advantage of by bride's for their wedding so the shoes match the fugly colored dresses they chose for their bride's maids. for men however, there's a leather paint (space base knew it...) for shoes. it's available at most shoe repair places and comes in a variety of colors. but to do it, you'll also have to buy the solution that strips the topical layer and primes the surface below. it's pretty easy. did it way back in 91' to a pair of shoes and they came out looking new. just take your time and be sure to mask of the soles really well.
