Have any of you read the book Pain Killer that just hit newsstands recently? I'm currently reading it (almost done) and it is one of the most eye-opening and informational book on the subject of the drug du jour (OxyContin) This is NOT a drug topic, but rather a topic about the new book that explains everything you need to know about the OxyContin phenomenon and the general painkiller surge that is sweeping the country harder than crack cocaine did in the 80's.

I'm still reading Fast Food Nation. If you ask me, fast food is sweeping the nation much like crack cocaine. Oh, wait, it already has.

    Faster than a bullet
    Terrifying scream
    Enraged and full of anger
He’s half man and half machine

    Rides the metal monster
    Breathing smoke and fire
Closing in with vengeance soaring high

    He is the painkiller
    This is the painkiller

    Planets devastated
    Mankind’s on it’s knees
A saviour comes from out the skies
    In answer to their pleas

    Through boiling clouds of thunder
    Blasting bolts of steel
    Evils going under deadly wheels

    He is the painkiller
    This is the painkiller

    Faster than a lazer bullet
    Louder than an atom bomb
    Chromium plated boiling metal
    Brighter than a thousand suns

    Flying high on rapture
    Stronger free and brave
    Nevermore encaptured
They’ve been brought back from the grave

    With mankind ressurrected
    Forever to survive
Returns from armageddon to the skies

    He is the painkiller
    This is the painkiller
    Wings of steel painkiller
    Deadly wheels painkiller

i watched the mtv special : "im addicted to oxycontin", and for some reason it really depressed me to watch these people and their families.

then i rememberd how popgunwar likes all those horrible pills, and how his brain is probably close to mush, and for some reason, it made me kinda sad. Why would someone so young wanna just make their brain into dribble?

Maybe i'm just a weirdo, I don't think i'll ever understand, and could care less to sit here and preach to anyone else that does these things on here, cuz it's "fun" in the someone else's eyes i guess.

    :nope:

that lead to nowhere, but, i'm done. that's my two cents on painkillers.

    ::quietly walks away::

Ignorant replies just as I expected. I guess reading actual books is beyond most of you. Just go back to your WYWS.

Anyway, this book is an excellent source of information. My brother who is going to school to become a pharmacologist is reading it and agrees... some new info I just learned from reading it is that certain Phamaceutical Labs are planning on releasing an extended release dilaudid in the near future. That my friends... is GREAT news.

    Later.
