Guest TEARZ Posted October 20, 2001 Share Posted October 20, 2001 well. i just downloaded "zentrik" by them which actually sounds really good. you seem to have a vast appreciation for "electronic" (my ignorance starts to show) stuff..... which is just an entire wall of music that is just basically absent for me... i mean my exposure in that department is so weak. the furthest out there that i've really been exposed to is like... shit. massive attack or something ridiculous like that. almost emabarassing. Guest BROWNer Posted October 20, 2001 Share Posted October 20, 2001 heh...i don't know that track...i've been into experimental electronic stuff since i was a teenager.......i lost some amazing shit when i got ripped off unfortunately......one of which was oval's 94Diskont, which is the one that really broke ground and got them alot of love..and i have the one after it, systemisch.......they have at least another 5 or 6 releases that are all top drawer...their statement isn't as radical now as it was 6-7 years ago...everyone bit them hard..you can hear 'glitches' in tons of electronic stuff nowadays, and even in commercials and shit.....its even a 'preset' for some electronics i think now...which is funny cuz their music is based on digital mistakes and malfunctioning consumer electronics......but its interesting cuz markus popp has always considered oval as pure product, and not music..which segues into this oval machine thing with software on it that he wrote that you can make 'oval' music with........markus popp is an interesting guy..i might go look for some interview stuff and post it if anyone else wants to nerd out..markus popp is in another more 'musical' group with one other guy in a thing called microstoria....you might like some of their stuff to d.l. .... sweet shit..
