    it was on yesterday. and i watched it.

    and oh yeah, them girls that are singin and washin clothes in the crick and drippin the water all over emselves...dandy, juuuust dandy.

    the band that did the soundtrack is from my homestate... It's a bluegrass band.

    There wasn't a band that did the soundtrack, just specific songs. Alison Kraus is in there, Ralph Stanley, etc....

    yeah I dug this movie...It's got a bit of nostalgia for me...

    I remember looking at the soundtrack while browsing in a music store, it said on the back of the album that a fair few of the songs were done by "the soggy bottom boys" .. so mabye they are who ODS is talking about ...

    that is the name of the song. originally a stanley brothers song, it was redone by dan tymininski (from allisson krauss's band)for the movie.
