nyc discussion

no flicks, but hey post them if you got them. i'm going to take this opportunity to babble on about graffiti in new york, and i'm sure that i will piss many of you off. where to start, where to start. rth/mia....do their fucking thing. however, many people sleep on much of the crew. sure, serf, mint and goal get over hard, but you all sleep on vyels, heils,si and past. on to irak...many of them do have a lot running in downtown manhattan. however, these kids think (because of a lot of you snap happy out of towners and biased exposure in magazines) that they are gods gift. granted, some have a solid stee, but get out of lower manhattan(maybe with the exception of fanta, who puts in a good deal of work in bk). you are far from all city, so stop acting like you are. 5mh.....i can't get enough of these guys. they put it on manhattan and brooklyn. im talking about the crew deep missions, blasting walls four and five large fillins at a time (which might explain why we see so many infinished fillins). who else who else. fees and mista, getting a lot of good spots. then, we have the out of towners....the noels, the merz, the 1times, the fives, year...the kids who are jocked for ever because they rock more complex straight letters with a few colors. very visible spots, mostly downtown. that is all very good, but that isnt new york. can anyoen think of any of these kids have a decent throwup? not a straight letter, or baby burner, or fucking west coast candy land bubble gum outlines, but gritty new york or philly throwup. onward. speaking of gritty fillins, take for example spot or skuf....that is style my friends. they arent fooling you, they are earning your respect. cycle good, jest good, since good, jee jaes ok, aow good they just dont paint enough, cnote weirdo cees good, jesse befly good, ard/ynn good but where the fuck they been? risk9 good, us crew good (stomping fillins all over), nov and mn two of my all time favorites catching an occasional bomb. saw a fresh claw throwup the other in the les, very good. vfr great. ohhh who else is getting up? not many others. ranting and raving, so go ahead and defend those that you jock. good afternoon.

/edit: after getting over my disappointment at the lack of photos, i read your post. The rest of MIA are not toys. Goal is up a lot, but so are they (and going far beyond new york city). Take a step outside your bedroom and see this shit for yourself, because the walls dont lie.

lower manhattan archive

alright, so i know this started with the idea that there's more to manhattan graffiti than lower manhattan...but most of my business is conducted in chinatown and the LES, so that's where all my flick are from. don't hate on akro, appreciate the straightforward. that said i got a bunch of flicks for ya'll.

Just to give a quick lesson, the US the I see that kid put and some other kid he paints with is not the real Us crew. BRAN US is the real us. learn a little history and Recognize!

Oh yea and that mist fillin is not the real mist. MIST OAM is the real deal. I really wish all these new kids would learn a little about graffiti before they start running around the place writing names that are already taken and pushing crews that are already established.

hey does any one of flix of that guy MailBox he has blue boxes all over manhattan

he even gets folks to put stuff in the boxes

maybe we should start a Central Grafitti Patent Office that all new writers have to register with before they get approval to bomb.

I just wanted to point out that isnt mist...its mista...maybe im wrong...but take a look again....and the thing about researching stuff and names...well if you dont have a computer with the internet your fucked...its not like they have shit archived at the library...some people do think up shit on their own, and come up with their own ideas....it just so happens many people do have similar shit that later can be said oh well that names taken...and your style looks like his...ive seen how that happens...you dont have to agree with me, but there are only so many ways to write a letter...unless your putting up some off the wall crazy as only you can read shit...your stuff pretty much takes the shape of the letter touched up with your personal stylization...and other times shits just blatantly bitten off...so take it how ever you see it....payce.

Im sure if he didnt know who sane or giz was he would say the same thing...I mean the way i see it is people dont give other people shit for having the same name...like yo tom fuck you the other tom is better....hey brian why you gotta jock brians name like that....some people just dont know that other people write the same thing.....this is mostly new jacks most of the time...or kids that fall into graffiti but dont get out and socialize with other writers, or read up on shit...i mean ive seen two writers write the same thing and they both were good...just different styles...so of course you could tell who was who...and by now im sure this is over..so ill just continue to ramble on about nothing..............................................
