NightClub assistance

So I have been given a chance to open a nightclub up in my home town and the investors I have, have deep pockets. I just have to get a business plan to them April 1st and that will determine how much loot the club gets. The investors have been calling me once a week for the last month asking how the plan is going because they are ready to make some money with me. Well they will start me at like 30 grand a year and all I have to do is put everything in my name and run the joint. This is great because I am an alcoholic dj ready to get a set gig.

Well I need some ideas for names for the club. Can I get some assistance fellers

ive been wating to open a club for years

If i opened up a club i always liked he name "TheStarEmbassy"

the lighting is essential to create a fanatasy type "escapism" mood

and when drinks are concerned have a trademark drink, ive found slushy type slurpy drinks work well and not many clubs have.

heres a scam i also thought of to get customers,

go to a few modeling agencies and promote your club informing the female models (and a few males) that during the first week of opening they will get fully hooked up at your club......what this will do is get a large majority of them to come in and you know how well first impressions go the opening week will be pretty crucial to the future success of your club.......anyway with all the models there your club will be known as the place that "all the hot girls go to" and any marketing cource i have taken when customer service comes into play they say the most successful method of good credibility is "word of mouth"

also advertising can make or break a club...make sure to portray a particular image, if you dont already have one the whole "funky/upperclass" look works wonders as long as you dont have it so upperclass/posh that its indimidating.

hope i helped.

we will be playing top 40 hip hop and dance music with ocassionally 80's. We will cater to ages 21 to 45 we assume. We have major loot to beef the place up with lights sound whatever. Themese are good to for ideas since i am a little stuck on themes also. I was thinking like see through dj booth or bar shark tank you know somthing nice and original.

I doubt we would get a shark tank but we want a top notch place.

I love the idea about the models since we were going to start a escort service we got the hook on modeling agencies and whores

Thats pretty cool for you Kaotic.

Hope all goes well.

I just hooked up with a bar owner

for some graphic work. he said

he wants me to help him get his

bar poppin again. So Im organizing

a big party at his club. If all goes well,

I should have every friday at his joint.

Shouldnt be a problem, I have no

trouble getting heads to attend my functions.

Does anyone remember my BarnYard Boogie Bash?

When I threw a party in a Barn!

Big Webs is doing Big Thangs now...uh huh!

Im also supposed to get other nights going too.

Should be fun!

Things to consider...

Drink Specials!

(Dollar Beers is a sure shot...and 2 for 1 specials!)

Hot Females on the guest list!

(getting guys to come is easy)

Security

Music

Atmosphere

Theme...if you want one

dude heres my way of doing it as a dj and promoter.

first though you can buy the counter at office depot for 10 bucks!!

but i dj for 150 flat and after the club makes 150 off of the bar or door i get 1 dollar from the cover some nights I get paid major and some nights i get paid regular 150.

now for promoter i do 75% of the door after they get $150 for their sound guy or what not. you must work out a deal like this so you both get paid.

I always butta them up with this saying!!

"you know everyone wants a great club but they are to lazy to do it. I tell everyone in the nightclub industry, you want a good club you got to get a good dj to get a good dj you got to pay the dj good, thats why im here not only to give you good service but so we can make good money together" that works everytime. Try it

yeah, see...I never used to charge at my parties.

It was just to have fun, but since I know so many

folks, and what not...this was bound to happen.

Ive already made numerous phone calls and asked

my peoples if they would be down to attend a function,

by me, again, but this time, pay for drinks, and a possible

cover. (Which Im going to see if I can keep at a minimum.

I dont want to charge big, I want to go low, but ensure

that everyone involved gets paid. So, Im looking at

under $5. Thats CHEAP! Maybe even split the bar.)

Everyone Ive talked to is kosher with it...

so it looks prosperous. I just have to go over it with

the big guy, and see what he says.

Lol...I already have a speech prepared for him.

The ole, "I got bills, you got bills, we all got bills..."

Sprikled with a dash of, "I can pack this place...my boy

has alot of good music, and such..."

:)

well, this is a small bar, but not that small.

Its not in our dowtown area, which can be bad or good...

(depends on how you look at it. Too many cops dowtown,

but the colleges are all down there. So, good or bad..ya know.)

It has a modest dance floor, and a nice sound system.

Big screen TV, and 2 other TVs around the bar.

2 pool tables, and various other games.

I might be able to charge more at the door,

but I dont want to. I want to bring people in,

not drive them away. I figure I could chare low

at the door, and make money off the bar.

So, theres money from the door and the bar.

So, Im looking at maybe...

$3-$4 a head, or free with Flyer

Ladies in free before a certain time...maybe 11pm

$1 beers all night...the guy has his own beer for a buck!

My DJ is good, so thats not a problem.

He spins good Hip Hop, top 40, R&B Soul...mixed in with a lil

of that club hip hop...bleh...but it brings in people.

I want to have a seperate night with all good hip hop.

In good time...for now, this is the plan.

The key to having a live nightclub is attracting the right crowd, which will in turn attract more of the right crowd automatically. The key is getting enough people who order expensive drinks but can still get down with the top 40 hip-hop stuff, but without getting the "hip-hop fags" as I like to call them. Cause those fuckers have already drank a fourty around the corner and will order a grand total of 2 beers from you and sit the whole night in a booth with a hippy chick and watch your dj/band for their 4 dollar cover. I think the best way to do that is to keep it real low-key, none of the spotlights or bright paint outside, just simple. Inside should be the same way, pick a simple colour scheme and stick with it, make sure your shit is comfortable to be in, but not so comfortable that people sit in the booths and don't drink/dance. Don't go for the whole saturday night fever, I miss the 70's theme, its over-rated. Also key is having a few of the people who look like the image you want to portray show up throughout the night. If you know any models give them free vip passes, and they'll come in groups. Or tell them the drinks are on the house, and they'll be there. You should make sure to have a few good looking men and women to dance with people who are sitting, one guy with a story about the "beautiful woman who asked him to dance out of the blue" will bring in more guys than you want. And last but not least, pour the drinks big for the first month or so until you get a reputation, then use that. I watched a bartend once pour me a measured shot and then tell me how they couldn't serve 151 because they poured the drinks so big. Oh ya, and if you need a bartender, and your area happens to be the great northwest, give me a holler....

Thank you and good day...
