    1. I think the neighbors moved out. The truck is gone and everything is quiet for the most part.

    2. It's fucking cold- my comp has a weather station window that says it's 42 degrees outside.

    3. I'm listening to David Allan Coe. No, I'm not a racialist. Yes, I did listen to "Nigger Fucker" tonight. Currently, I am listening to "Fuckin' In The Butt" right now. No, I'm not a gay.

If you don't know about David Allan Coe, he's the guy responsible for "Long Haired Redneck". He did a underground album (called "Underground Album") that has to be one of the top ten funniest albums ever made. It's so raunchy that for years the only place you could find it was in the back of "Easyrider" magazine. Imagine a cross between Eazy-E and Merle Haggard, and you're pretty close.

And, I was watching "Law and Order" tonight. Normally, I avoid TV, but this show is seriously twisted. I'm a fan now...Ice-T, say what. If he rolled me up, I'd have something to brag about...

"Dude, I got arrested by Ice-T! He let me finish the spot, but I had to hit him up...and on the way to the station, we stopped and got 40s and blazed a chewie he was holding for "evidence"....then we were chillin', all high and shit...he forgot where we were going, so I told him I wanted to call it a night, and he dropped me off at home and gave a signed copy of the Body Count album. I hooked him up with some David Allan Coe, he said he'd check it out- he told me he was thinking about Cowboy Troy, and how he thought it was time to do a country album. On that note, I peaced him out, and realized he kept my paint and the change from the twenty I gave him to buy up with...."

    Something like that.

I heard an interview with David Alan Coe on NPR, and he was insisting that he is NOT a racist. It was pretty hilarious... that's a tough argument for him to make. He was saying that he was just a singer/ songwriter, and somebody commissioned him to write all of the racist songs that eventually became his first few albums. Then he saw that there was a market for that kind of music, so he put out some crazy number of albums on his own over the next couple of decades. Wierd guy... Merle Haggard meets Eazy-E is a good description, though I would say there's a smattering of David Duke and Wesley Willis in there as well.

I find it hilarious that you're listening to him right now. I think Ice T would agree. I saw him (Ice T, not Coe) speak at CMJ once, and he seemed like a really cool guy. He told some story that ended with him suggesting that some dude "go eat a bowl of dicks". I would not fuck with Ice-T.

*And 42 degrees sounds like a dream.

That station is a block from my old house. Great neighborhood, wonderful people.

Ice-T did this interview where he explained the difference between Earth hos and space hos- man, that was classic. I wish I had a copy...I think it was in the SF Weekly around 2000 or so.

It snowed in the Berkeley hills on Friday night. No joke.

And, a week ago, it was 70 degrees round the clock. All the plants thought spring was two months ahead of schedule, and started blooming...now who's laughing? Mother Nature, that's who.

Fuck, we better have a nice spring. I want to go bike camping as soon as the first heat wave hits.

A few years ago, I was dating this girl who would go cross-country skiing and camp in the snow. No thanks. She was one of the toughest people I've ever known, and I know some tough ones. I'll give her that.

    Well, I am so sorry.
I had no idea that the weather in Cali got so terribly mild.
Meanwhile here I am thinking about my dog who is having difficulty breathing after walks because the snot in his nose freezes up. How selfish of me.
