anotha book on the way!

The news on the book: the book I worked on is now finished and will go into print in June this year.

It will be in stores in October 2004.

All artists, who are getting these news are actually included in the book and have their own pages or will be presented on collage pages.

The book is now called Graffiti World - Street Art from five continents. It will have 376 pages plus 4 fold-out pages with collages. I have now collected more than 180 international artists.

The book will be first published by Thames and Hudson, London, and there will also be some translated and licenced version of it published by Harry N. Abrams, New York; Editorial Gustavo Gili, Barcelona; Graphic-Sha, Tokyo and Éditions Pyramyd, Paris

ColorsZoo

I finally get the ColorsZoo book....and it's worth having it...

Many styles, many countries, walls, street art, trains, tags, throw ups, subways...

Maybe only one inconvenient that could be an advantage, there's no clear structure in the book what means some pages are mixed up but in another way, it's more like a magazine, you're not fed up with just one style or guy as you got pictures from many different people.

Moreover, even if some pictures are "Deja Vu", many are not and still fresh !!

Pritty safe to say that this book sucks> If they already start making books related to certain Halls then were's the end of it. This is way to commercial and only idiots will buy it.

I haven't seen the Battle of Waterloo one, but it isn't the first book about Amsterdam graff, that's for sure - I have two sitting in my shelves now, and I'm in the USA. I still bet that Battle of Waterloo would be pretty cool though.

Fedorchak has here told a picaresque adventure story, a Huckleberry Finn of the Bronx. Set in the surreal background of a city unraveling, FUZZ ONE chronicles the life of a kid with a true vocation for graffiti and an unerring nose for adventure. With the resourcefulness of a hunter and a work ethic that would be the envy of any technocrat, Fuzz became one of the most up writers of his pioneering generation."

--Henry Chalfant, co-author, Subway Art

"I have the greatest respect for Fuzz One. He is one of the ultimate old-timers from back in 1970."

--Blade

"Fuzz One's adventures take us all-city as he turns New York into his own personal playground. Theis book is not only the story of one man's quest for fame amidst the subterranean graffiti culture, but also an accurate document of 1970s life in New York City. Fuzz is a true writers' writer."

--Daze

FUZZ ONE is the staggering true story of a raucous and wholly unsupervised childhood in the Bronx of the 1970’s. Vincent Fedorchak here hilariously narrates a wild tale rife with adolescent braggodocio and deadpan period details, taking us on a rough ride through a deteriorating Bronx jungle/wonderland where property value was plummeting and kids ruled the streets. Whether executing a gonzo graffiti mission in another borough with the insanity of a special ops soldier, fearlessly tracking down satan worshippers camped out in the old castles in Van Cortlandt Park, or being the first white boy inducted into the infamous Ebony Dukes street gang, Vinnie never flinches. Don’t miss this epic tale of youth gone awry that captures an important era of cultural upheaval in New York City’s history.
