iloveboxcars
ok, i drove over my yard today.. and i was looking down at all the cars when i noticed an all creme white looking auto rack. i have never seen one like this.. it had no holes.. unfortunately i was unable to go down and look at it because i had more important things to do at the time. does anybody know what company this car is from.. and maybe its usual route?.. because i have never seen one over here. im guessing it might also be a fairly new model.. the paint looked like brand new car paint. ~mr. unloveable. Guest fr8lover
probably an articulated autorack. was it KCS? i assume it might not be because you would probably be able to read the giant KANSAS CITY SOUTHERN in red on the front. we got some yellow bnsf ones like that, but they have those annoying inverted ridges hence making them not so much fun to paint. iloveboxcars
i couldnt see lower than the top of the car because they were almost directly below the overpass, but i went for a second look and it says 'auto-max' in big red letters. highball
The ones that say "Auto-Max" have AOK (Arkansas-Oklahoma Railroad) or CRLE (Chicago Rail Link) reporting marks... both RR's interchange with UP so you could probably catch these anywhere on the UP system. there's more on the cars at http://www.athearn.com/Genesis/automax/automax.html.
