MyDoom variant targets the RIAA

24/02/2004

Veronique De Freitas

Record companies are the target of a new computer worm - the latest in a long line of MyDoom clones.

MyDoom.F will attempt to bring down the website of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), which represents record labels including EMI, Virgin and Warner Bros.

Between the 17 and 22 of any month MyDoom.F will attempt distributed denial of service attacks against both www.riaa.com and www.microsoft.com
