RumPuncher
Men dont stop playing with toys, we just get more expensive ones! http://www.laorejadigital.com/revista/entrevista/propellerhead/reason.jpg'>http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/audio/images/reason.jpg'> http://www.tplm.com/images/produits/reason.gif'>http://ichbiah.online.fr/music/electro/reason.jpg'> http://www.technomusic.com/softwares/pictures/reason.jpg'> http://www.sonicspot.com/reason/reason.jpg'> yay for new toys! mr.yuck
You know i have no idea what all of that shit does or means. What kind of class would i have to take to get just the basics of what all of those levers and switches and such do? I'm having a hell of a time trying to figure out fruityloops. End transmission. Guest
it's called Reason and it's probably the best beat creator software I've found. Sure pro-tools and cubase are good too... but this thing has an 808!
SteveAustin
I'm all for new toys. seeing as how my expendable income has just increased by a substantial amount...I'm looking forward to upgrading all the audio/video in my house, new rims and skins on the all mighty I, new camera, and furniture. yoink
those are dope, well that one is at least, Ive had a few of those, mostly low end ones that I could never really figure out at all. But I always want to, so I get them, play around for 20 minutes get frusterated and they sit collecting electronic dust on my hard-drive. Men dont stop playing with toys, so damn true. nomadawhat
wooo.. looks fun and frustrating. as someone said fruity loops itself is a handfull for me. i was supposed to have this along w/ rebirth and about 3 other music programs on the cpu i just bought but when i click on the icons it says i need the disk and the guy was getting them bootlegged and had a falling out with homeboy who hadn't yet given him the disk..jsut installed the program..??.??... so, hmmm, i don't know how much i would actually use this.. i think i need to learn more basics first. but have fun.. Guest imported_El Mamerro
I want that real bad... Reason looks unbelievably fun to learn and fuck around with.
casekonly
kilo, how do you like it overall? i mean controls, ease of use, functions???
Guest
Well I used to play around with Rebirth a bunch a few years ago, http://www.technomusic.com/softwares/pictures/rebirth.jpg'> So the overall functions are pretty similar and easy to work with. It's not a terribly hard program to use, but in the same way photoshop isn't very hard to learn either. Certainly a few late nights running this with headphones locked and the ash tray filling up and I might have something good to show for it. casekonly
step writing can be fun. i sued to tinker with rebirth a little...i really used to dig fruity loops pro...toys are fun.
seeking
is that 2 or 2.5? mac or pc? ive got a tutorial cd i could burn you for it (if it didnt come with one). there are also atleast two books out dealing with reason. i agree, probably the best all around production software available. Guest
thanks for the offer seeks, I'm not sure about those images seing as I just google'd them, but I'm running 2.5 on a PC laptop. So you use reason and like it?
slightly
seeks could you possibly pass that ass this way? holler
seeking
slightly, no, unfortunitaly thats the problem. i lost one of the 3 cd's required to run the program. i was hoping dude had it for mac, so i could score one off him. i know i could talk to webster an try to get another from him (where i originaly got it from) but i still owe him a package (if you're reading this, big seek dog aint forgot) and dont want to ask for more favors. kilo, i havent used it a ton, but what i did use, i really liked. since you're using it on a laptop, i highly suggest looking into an oxygen8 (i think thas what its called) USB keyboard. it will make life a million times easier.
