I grew my hair out a few times...the first time i did, i would go to a black barber shop, as a friend suggested, to get a taper. i found it as odd as the barber and the other customers in there, but the fact is that that my hair wouldn't have looked that good had i gone to a white barber shop. when i grow my hair out it's all thick and annoying anyway, and i was actually able to control it. the barber even gave me shape ups, which i never understood because white people don't need shape ups anyway. i even got a part shaved into my hair, which perplexed me just as much. then that led to me getting cornrows, while friends constantly reminded me that i'm white, which got people laughing a lot. eventually i got sick of having hair and shaved it back to its original shape. can't go wrong with that. if it's gonna be winter soon anyway maybe just keep it the way it is.
